    Description:
Four videos where Richard Stallman (founder of GNU and FSF) meets up with Lunduke.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

Richard Stallman founder of the GNU Project and the Free Software Foundation
    is an interesting man.

He and I disagree on some things. No. Thats not quite right. He and I disagree on a great many things.

That said, we also agree on a number of topics. And, as my own viewpoints have evolved over the years, our opinions have gotten closer together and moved farther apart. In noteworthy ways.

What follows are four shows that Ive done with Richard, starting back in
2012. Its pretty all over the map.

Also fun to look back on the fact that I used to be reliant on sponsors and advertisers to fund my work. Nowadays, Im advertiser-free all supported by you crazy nerds. Feels good. Mar 11, 2012

Way back in 2012, I was doing a podcast called The Linux Action Show. We had Richard on the show. It was a weird interview. There was contention. I disagreed with some of what he said (and he disagreed with some of what I said).

This particular show caused a fair bit of debate back in the day. I received a small mount of both hate mail and praise after this. Was wild.

But, perhaps most importantly, during this interview, the phrase Negative in the Freedom Dimension was uttered. That phrase amuses me to this day.

This episode is available on the YouTube channel for that (long defunct) podcast. I dont know of anywhere else this exists. Hm. Perhaps I should mirror it somewhere (it is Creative Commons licensed, after all). Dec 15,
    2015

This wasnt so much a dedicated interview, as it was a roundtable discussion
on the need (or lack of need) for compromise in Free Software. The panelists included: Richard M Stallman, Aaron Seigo (of KDE), Swapnil Bhartiya (Tech Journalist), and Stuart Langridge (from Canonical).

This also wasnt really an interview, per se. But it was too goofy to not include.

The 2016 edition of Linux Sucks was recorded as the big Evening Event of the Southern California Linux Expo back in January of 2016 at the Pasadena Convention Center. Big hall. Big crowd. Tons of fun.

I brought in a few fun guests for this one. Including Richard Stallman , Cory Doctorow , Jim Whitehurst (back when he was the CEO of Red Hat) and Im totally serious Piers Anthony (Sci-Fi and Fantasy author of the Xanth series and a ton of other books).

How many times do you get to have Richard Stallman in the same show as Piers Anthony? Not too many gosh darn times. Richard is only in the show for a
few moments in the middle. But totally worth it.

I have this one listed with a few of my other Linux Sucks shows that you can watch. Apr 14, 2017

Back in 2017, I sat down with Richard, for about an hour. We talked about
the W3C (and their stance on DRM) and the movie Galaxy Quest. Probably some other things too.

One on one. Mano a mano.

This was definitely the most personal conversation Ive had with Richard.
