(3-part docuseries act 1 available now)

An intimate portrait of one of pop culture's most divisive figures,
Jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy charts the adult life of Kanye West, from innovative musical pioneer to failed political hopeful and caricature of his former self. Directors Coodie & Chike began documenting West's life long before he was famous, offering highlights from almost two decades worth of footage that notonly provide insight into the drive and motivation that led him to success, but also the immense pressure that led to his failings.

Stream Jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy on Netflix Texas Chainsaw Massacre

    (Movie available 18/2/2022)

It looks like the Fab Five forgot to stop by Leatherface's house in their recent Austin-based season of Queer Eye, because the infamous chainsaw-wielding maniac is definitely not following Jonathan's skincare regime. Described as a direct sequel to the original film (so long as you forget those other two direct sequels, 1986's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and 2013's Texas Chainsaw 3D), Netflix's Texas Chainsaw Massacre sees Leatherface return after almost 50 years to terrorise a group of Gen Z teens.

(TV series episode 8 available now)

In the final episode of Peacemaker's first season, Peacemaker and his team must take down the "cow" that's providing the butterflies their only food source in order to end the invasion once and for all. Expect writer-director James Gunn to pull out all the stops with a gloriously violent and action-packed episode that may include some big name cameos...

    Stream Peacemaker on Binge Bel-Air

    (TV series available now)

Did you ever watch Will Smith's seminal family sitcom The Fresh Price of Bel-Air and think "that kid is just too funny for his own good"? Well, you're in luck, because this story about an urban youth from Philadelphia who gets sent to live with his Aunt and Uncle in their posh Bel-Air mansion has been given the gritty dramatic reboot that everyone has been clamouring for all these years. Will it work? Or will it just be another teen soap in the vein
of The OC? Only time will tell.

Stream Bel-Air on Stan The Marvellous Mrs Maisel: Season 4

(TV series season 4 available now)

Amazon's fantastic comedy series The Marvellous Mrs Maisel returns for its fourth season this week, once again following the burgeoning stand-up comedy career of Miriam Midge Maisel, a 1960s housewife who took on the new career after splitting with her husband. Last season, everything was looking up for Midge, until she was dropped from Shy Baldwin's tour and left with barely any money. Now, she must find a creative way to get the cash she needs.

Our top Aussie streaming picks this weekend include Shang-Chi, Red Notice, Yellowstone and Home Sweet Home Alone.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

With so many shows and movies to choose from on Australia's major streaming services, it can often be difficult to find the best new stuff to entertain yourself with each end of week.

In an effort to make things easier, we've hand-picked the best new shows and movies to watch on Aussie streaming platforms this weekend, covering the
likes of Netflix, Disney Plus, Binge, Foxtel Now, Stan, Apple TV Plus and Amazon Prime Video.

Below, you'll find a list of new highlights, with binge-worthy TV shows sitting alongside some great big-budget movie arrivals and a couple of oddball left-of-field entries, just for some variety.

The big new shows and movies in this entry (which is admittedly quite Disney-heavy thanks to this weekend's Disney Plus Day celebrations) include the long-awaited arrival of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on Disney Plus, the star-packed Red Notice on Netflix, the season 4 premiere of Yellowstone on Stan, and Home Sweet Home Alone, also on Disney Plus. Here are our streaming picks for the weekend of November 12-14, 2021. Shang-Chi and
the Legend of the Ten Rings

    (Movie available 12/11/2021)

In celebration of Disney Plus Day , the service is finally bringing Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten rings to everyone with a subscription. That's
right, no premier access fee to worry about. Given that this film was
released in Australia during a time in which multiple states were in
lockdown, we're happy that everyone now has the chance to see Marvel's latest epic from the comfort of their home.

Stream Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on Disney Plus Home Sweet Home Alone

    (Movie available 12/11/2021)

The '90s family classic gets the reboot treatment in Home Sweet Home Alone, starring Archie Yates, who played the funny kid with glasses in JoJo Rabbit. You know the drill: kid is accidentally left home alone for Christmas when
his family goes on vacation, leaving him to fend off a pair of bumbling burglars using ingenious home-made booby traps. The only question is, will this new version live up to the Macaulay Culkin originals?

Stream Home Sweet Home Alone on Disney Plus The World According to Jeff Goldblum Season 2

(TV series season 2 available 12/11/2021)

The first season of National Geographic's The World According to Jeff
Goldblum was an incredibly charming good time from start to finish, and we expect season 2 to be just as fun. We'll never get tired of Goldblum 'oohing' and 'aahing' at things with a delightful sense of wonder.

Stream The World According to Jeff Goldblum on Disney Plus Red Notice

    (Movie available 12/11/2021)

Netflix has brought together three of the biggest stars in the world right
now for its new heist movie Red Notice, starring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan
Reynolds and Gal Gadot. An FBI profiler (Johnson) must team up with one art thief (Reynolds) in order to stop another (Gadot) from stealing a trio of priceless bejewelled eggs which once belonged to Cleopatra.

Stream Red Notice on Netflix Yellowstone Season 4

    (TV series available now)

Arguably the best show on television right now, Yellowstone returns for its eagerly anticipated fourth season following one of the biggest cliffhangers
in TV history, in which the fates of several main characters were left up in the air. We won't spoil how it all turned out here just know that the double-episode that kicks off Yellowstone's new season does not disappoint at all.

Stream Yellowstone on Stan Always Jane

    (TV series available now)

In this four-part docu-series, we follow Jane Noury on her journey as a transgender teen growing up in rural New Jersey. While her home town is
hardly the easiest place for Jane to flourish, she thankfully has the love of a very supportive (and irreverently funny) family.

Below, you'll find a list of new highlights, with binge-worthy TV shows sitting alongside some great big-budget movie arrivals and a couple of oddball left-of-field entries, just for some variety.

The big new shows and movies in this entry include the long-awaited second season of The Witcher on Netflix, the sci-fi drama Swan Song on Apple TV
Plus, and the return of SNL favourite MacGruber on Stan. Here are our streaming picks for the weekend of December 17-19, 2021. The Witcher: Season

    (TV series available 17/12/2021)

Everyone's favourite handsome geek Henry Cavill returns to the role of Geralt in the highly anticipated second season of The Witcher, which is rumoured to feature the Wild Hunt. The first season of Netflix's adaptation took a little while to find its footing, often jumping back and forth in time with absolutely no signposting. We expect season 2 to be a bit more
straightforward now that the characters have caught up to each other.

Stream The Witcher on Netflix MacGruber: Season 1

    (TV series available 17/12/2021)

Those who remember Will Forte's SNL favourite MacGruber will know to expect a hilarious send-up of macho '80s action movies (with more than a passing resemblance to TV's MacGyver) in the character's first dedicated TV series.
It also marks the first time MacGruber has appeared on screens since his underrated film debut back in 2010.

Stream MacGruber on Stan Station Eleven: Season1

Based on the book of the same name, Station Eleven follows the survivors of a devastating pandemic as they attempt to not only rebuild humanity, but also hold onto the best parts of what they've lost.

Stream Station Eleven on Stan Hawkeye: Season 1, episode 5

    (TV series available now)

In this science fiction-tinged drama, a terminally ill man (two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali) investigates the prospect of creating a secret clone replacement of himself in order to save his wife and son from the grief of
his death. Also stars Naomie Harris.

Pam & Tommy tells the true story behind Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee's stolen sex tape, which took the world by storm in the mid-90s when it was leaked and sold to the public, effectively becoming the world's first viral video. Perhaps the most
startling thing about this series is its actors' transformations who would have thought that Lily James (Baby Driver, Cinderella) could be a dead-ringer for Pamela Anderson? Likewise, Sebastian Stan (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) is off the chain as ex Mtley Cre drummer Tommy Lee. Also stars Seth Rogen and Nick Offerman. FULL STORY ======================================================================

The big new shows and movies in this entry include the zombie-lite Army of
the Dead prequel Army of Thieves on Netflix, the season 11 premiere of Curb Your Enthusiasm on Binge, and the spellbinding fable The Green Knight on Amazon Prime Video. Here are our streaming picks for the weekend of October 29-31, 2021. Army of Thieves

    (Movie available 29/10/2021)

A prequel to Zack Snyder's much-hyped zombie flick Army of the Dead, Army of Thieves takes place right before the undead outbreak that took over Las Vegas in that film, opting instead to focus on the eccentric safe-cracker Dieter (Matthias Schweighfer) and his involvement in a series of bank heists across Europe. While it may seem a bit odd to make a zombie-less prequel to an existing zombie film, Army of Thieves still seems like a fun heist film regardless.

Stream Army of Thieves on Netflix Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 11

    (TV series available now)

The incomparable Larry David returns for the 11th season of the hilarious comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm, in which the notorious grump continues to rub people the wrong way and get himself into the most ridiculous social situations imaginable.

Stream Curb Your Enthusiasm on Binge Foundation Season 1

(TV series episode 7 available 29/10/2021)

Isaac Asimov's Foundation series of novels is one of the most influential sagas in science fiction literature, and now it's finally received the live-action treatment on Apple TV Plus and with what appears to be an enormous budget, to boot! Spanning thousands of years, the story of
Foundation sees a band of exiles set off on a journey to save humanity after the fall of the Galactic Empire. Episode 7 will see the Anacreons and their hostages board the Invictus warship, while Brother Dawn and Azura bond gets even stronger.

Stream Foundation on Apple TV Plus Woman Walks Ahead

    (Movie available 29/10/2021)

This weekend sees the arrival of Woman Walks Ahead on Disney Plus Star, which follows a headstrong New York artist (Jessica Chastain) in the 1890s that heads out to Dakota in order to create a portrait of the Sioux chief, Sitting Bull (Michael Greyeyes). Part drama and part western, Woman Walks Ahead is a beautifully-crafted film with terrific performances.

Stream Woman Walks Ahead on Disney Plus The Green Knight

    (Movie available now)

Based on one of the most beloved Arthurian legends, this intoxicating fantasy story sees King Arthur's nephew Sir Gawain (Dev Patel) set out on a journey
to confront a mysterious green knight in an effort to prove himself before family and court. Along the way, he will encounter ghosts, giants, thieves
and more. Be warned, this is an artistic film that does not play out like
your average fantasy epic. Instead, it unfolds like the fables that turned Arthur and his knights into legends in the first place.

Stream The Green Knight on Amazon Prime Video Wu-Tang: An American Saga Season 2 finale

(TV series episode 10 available now)

The excellent second season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga comes to a close

    (TV series available 15/08/2021)

If you were wondering what Stephen Amell has been up to since hanging up his Green Arrow hood and bow, here's your answer: he's been working a new series about independent wrestling! Heels follows a brotherly rivalry that continues outside the ring of a small, family-run wrestling league in rural Georgia. Amell plays the 'heel' (wrestling lingo for bad guy) inside the ring, while his brother (Alexander Ludwig) plays the 'face' or hero. Unfortunately, the brothers are at war over ownership of their father's legacy as it heads towards national attention.

If you know Waititi's quirky sense of humour, you should have a pretty good idea of what to expect from Reservation Dogs.

Stream Reservation Dogs on Binge Marvel's What If...?

    (TV series available now)

Marvel's latest Disney Plus animated series offers a glimpse into what key
MCU moments might have been like under different circumstances. For instance, what if the Ravagers had taken T'Challa instead of Peter Quill? Or what if Peggy Carter had been given the super soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers? Intriguing indeed!
