Did you, by any chance, keep the 4.x license disk? It seems the license key for 4.x is hard to find...

I can't believe it, I thought I donated the original discs to re-pc, but ... but a few days ago I found a box I took out of storage, and I found my floppies: netware 4.1 license disk and the registration disk for 100 users.

If you come across it, and willing to share it, I'd appreciate it.

deon, I can't believe it, but I found:
the reg disk, and the 100 user license disk -- netware 4.1

Find it on bottomless abyss bbs.

If you can send me a personal netmail there if you need help.

deon, I found some more stuff I have. The install and document files.
I'll have to go through the other stuff I found as well. I would love to put
it up so it doesn't get lost forever.

I think the last file I uploaded was for 4.10 not 4.1.

That should still be OK though right?

I'm going to have a play this weekend if I can get some time.

In the mean time, I just went over to winworld (which has the CD but no license disks) - and there is a comment about 4.2 CD with a license disk as well. (But it also says somebody had problems with it, by not having a base license - so hopefully yours is the missing piece :)

I'm not sure.. I haven't used netware in a really really really long time.

let me know if it works. The stuff I have was from copies of original disks, that I can't find yet. I really think I gave those to re-pc during a moment
of insanity, so no original envelopes. The software disks came in a white envelope with serial and other things in it, and the og floppies had info
on them. I tried to copy that onto my backup copies of the disks.

Anyway long story short, please let me know if the reg and license works.

I'm going to keep digging around for what I have.

I think the last file I uploaded was for 4.10 not 4.1.

So I tried your 100 user license disk and it does work.

It is only for Netware 4.1 - I first tried to install 4.11 and it wouldnt accept it during the install.

I also tried Netware 4.2, but it wanted a "base license" (? I think that is what it wanted), so wouldnt accept it.

So googled and found a Netware 4.1 CD, installed and it works.

(Had to figure out how to get PCNET32 drivers from the 4.11 CD onto the 4.1 environment so that I could connect to it.)

So it seems I can only be at 4.1 (even tried upgrading to 4.11 afterwards but it went back to a 2 user license).

Anyway, this is still super useful for me, so thanks again...

I'm glad it works. My hand writing from many many years ago on faded paper its hard for me to tell what version it was.
So googled and found a Netware 4.1 CD, installed and it works.

I have some ISO images I created recently but I haven't made time to get them online. I've been busy enough fixing stuff at home I haven't made time to get software on the nets. I'm glad you found a version.

Anyway, this is still super useful for me, so thanks again...

when I get stuff together I'll let you know. I'm happy to help out if I can and keep our community active.
