    I don't, but I remember hearing about it when I was a kid. Couldn't if I
wanted to at present though, our TV reception has stopped lol.

For some reason the antenna stops working sometimes when it rains.

    Hi apam,

I don't, but I remember hearing about it when I was a kid. Couldn't if
I wanted to at present though, our TV reception has stopped lol.

Over here the country is right into it at present. Our team are racing an Italian team for this cup. It's the first to seven wins over thirteen races. Until recently it was locked up at three wins for each team but yesterday and today Team New Zealand won their races. Tomorrow if they win one more race they win this cup.

It sounds like a bit of a non event eh? But for yachting folks and people who get hooked into sport it's become quite an event. I think much of the country will watch the live TV coverage of the race tomorrow afternoon.

For some reason the antenna stops working sometimes when it rains.

Just look for americas cup on YouTube if curious. The race will be around 4.15pm local time here tomorrow. :)

PS I feel your rain reception pain :)

    Best, Paul.

I can remember back in the 1980s and/or very early '90's, it got a lot of coverage here in the States. I have not heard much of anything about it
    since.

Good to hear NZ is doing well! Hope they get their 7th soon.

Thanks, yep the won it the next day with a seventh win. Now the chatter is
will the next contest be held in NZ or overseas.

I'm glad they won it but kinda over all the hype now. :)

Don't even hear about it on this side of the ditch these days! A far cry from 1982.

Here's hoping your team comes out on top. I used to follow the Americas cup a lot closer for the engineering of the vessels. Living in Michigan we have and annual race on the great lakes from Port Huron to Mackinaw.

It fell right off the radar here in the late 80's I think. I haven't seen or heard anything about it aside from the fact its on every now and then. It certainly doesnt seem to get any coverage.
