  • Telnet World - Android app.

    Well... i had an impulse to write an android app. so i made one, about BBSing. It's a simple app. to download a fresh list from "TheTelnetBBSGuide" site and use it to connect to any listed BBS, with just a click, using your favorite telnet (android) app. like ConnectBot.

    In the Another Droid BBS, files area, under the Android section and also in the SlideMe market place here: http://slideme.org/application/telnet-world

    Cool idea but I wish there was a good telnet app for andorid. fTelnet app blows on android.

    Cool idea but I wish there was a good telnet app for andorid. fTelnet appblows on android.

    The best there is, i think is ConnectBot. Configure the settings to use ANSI terminal, for all connections and then with Telnet World, you can connect to every BBS with just a click.

    ConnectBot is compatible with ansi graphics and only lacks of zmodem. I am writing this msg with it, right now :)

    I couldn't find a specific telnet app for Android I liked. I ended up installing Termux and then can telnet/ssh as I like. Generally speaking that has worked out well for me.

    So, basically it is a bbslist frontend? I don't have an android
    phone myself, but I've forwarded this info to a friend who
    might like to try it out. What is the minimum Adroid version
    supported?

    It downloads a fresh bbslist and you can also add others as well. Also you can use it to store login credentials.

    supported?

    The minimum is Android 5.0 and that's because of Googles restrictions and dropping support for old platforms.
