SITUATION
At 1800 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 35 nautical miles of
latitude thirteen decimal eight south (13.8S)
longitude one hundred and two decimal five east (102.5E)
Recent movement : west southwest at 17 knots
Maximum winds : 35 knots
Central pressure: 994 hPa
The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 18 to 30 hours.
AREA AFFECTED
Within 150 nautical miles of the centre in SE and SW quadrants and within 80 nautical miles of centre in NW quadrant
FORECAST
Maximum winds to 35 knots near the centre increasing to 45 knots by 1800 UTC 26 February.
Winds above 34 knots within 150 nautical miles in the SE and SW quadrants
and increasing to 80 nautical miles in NE and NW quadrants by 1200 UTC 26 February with rough seas and moderate swell.
