Hi all,

I just wanted to post about a small issue we've been having on our board for the last few weeks.

When multiple users log in at the same time, they only ever show up on Node 1 instead of 2 and 3 etc. I sometimes leave my client open and logged into the BBS and I've stopped getting pop up notifications when a caller logs in and there isn't any node info showing in the Who's Online list?

I checked the error log and I'm seeing the following error:

Cannot write to mysticbbs\data\chat1.dat Code=2 PID=161300

It seems the node info data isn't being written for some reason. I've copied the data files to the server from previous back ups but they are deleted
when all callers have logged out.

Everything was working ok a few weeks back, so before I try anything like a roll back, I just wanted to fire it out to you guys to see if this sounds familiar to anyone.

Hmm sounds like a file permission issue perhaps, or disk full?

Hmm sounds like a file permission issue perhaps, or disk full?

It turns out that there was dead "mis" process lurking on the server and that was causing the issue. Maybe a bad log off / ghost node? A forced shut down cleared it.
