Hi All,
I'm trying to connect to my server which runs Ubuntu 18.04 from the MS-DOS SSH2
client...
Unfortunately, it looks like SSH2DOS is quite antiquated and has been
abandoned since 2008. Nevertheless, it can still be downloaded (
http://sshdos.sourceforge.net/ ) and people have been using it since at least 2017. When I go to use it, it requires Diffie Helman / SHA1, which obviously is
very insecure in this day and age, but this server has nothing of value on it, so I'm not worried too much. Since OpenSSH 6.7+, SHA1 has been disabled by default, but can be re-enabled as per:
http://freedos.10956.n7.nabble.com/Some-struggle-with-SSH2DOS-solved-td25894.ht
After running ssh-keygen -A and restarting sshd, it still doesn't seem to
work. Anyone familiar with ssh2dos, or configuring sha1? Your help would be much appreciated!
Cheers, hyjinx
