The Lunduke Journal hits 1,000 paid subscribers!

    Date:

    Description:
One of the largest Linux (and Retro Tech) publications is thriving... without any advertising or sponsorships.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

    Something big has happened:

The Lunduke Journal hit 1,000 paid subscribers.

Not free subscribers. Paid subscribers. One Thousand people said this is worth supporting and put their money on the table. And that number is growing.

Why this is so big : The Lunduke Journal never takes a single dime from companies no advertisements, no sponsorships and is completely supported by subscriptions .

At a time when so many Tech publications have been either a) going out of business or b) leaning heavily into ever-increasing amounts of advertising (mostly of Enterprise, buzz-word-laden corporate topics)

The Lunduke Journal is not just staying independent and ad-free but thriving .

All without taking advertising dollars. From anyone .

This success is proof that The Lunduke Journals 5 Rules of Awesomeness are, indeed, awesome:

    No politics. Only nerdiness.

No taking money from corporations. Ever.

    No buzzwords.

    Computers should bring us joy.

    Keep it family friendly.

Or, who knows, maybe it has something to do with the huge collection of exclusives that paid subscribers get:

Massive pile of videos (including every Linux Sucks video)

    12 books (and counting)

    Monthly PDF magazine

    4 video games (seriously)

A ton of exclusive articles and podcasts

And 24/7 access to a retro BBS

Or just maybe it has to do with the almost daily stream of new articles and podcasts about Linux, Computer History, Alternative Operating Systems, and more published to Lunduke.Substack.com .

Whatever the motivation, I am immensely grateful to all One Thousand of you for helping make The Lunduke Journal possible those who subscribe on
Substack as well as those who subscribe on Locals . All of you help ensure that we will be publishing the nerdiest articles and podcasts in the land far into the future.

    Now. The big question.

How long until The Lunduke Journal hits 2,000 paid subscribers?

My guess? Not too long. Subscribe now
