    Description:
From returning sci-fi series to brand new biopics, theres plenty to watch
    this weekend.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

If youve ventured onto social media in recent days, youll know that last weekend was a pretty exceptional moment for streaming services. The return of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney Plus and Stranger Things on Netflix sent the
internet into a tailspin, and youre probably still working your way through one or both of those series as we move into June.

Were not going to pretend that any of this weeks new streaming arrivals can match either of those tent-pole shows for hype, but the long-awaited return
of Amazons The Boys on Prime Video will surely throw a spanner in the works for fantasy fans with plenty of entertainment options already on their plate.

Below, weve rounded up seven of the biggest new movies and TV shows available to stream on Netflix , Prime Video , Disney Plus and more this weekend. The Boys season 3 (Prime Video)

Superhero fans, stand up. Amazons R-rated (and wildly popular) Prime Video series, The Boys, returns for its long-awaited third season this weekend.

Picking up one year after the shows explosive season 2 finale, new episodes find the titular Supes struggling to adjust to their newfound positions of power in a world enjoying a period of long-overdue peace. Naturally, though, the quietude doesnt last long, and the emergence of fearsome foe Soldier Boy puts Billy, Hughie, Annie and company on a collision course with destruction once again. We recently spoke to showrunner Eric Kripke to find out how The Boys season 3 dials up the drama versus previous seasons and suffice to say, fans are in for a treat.

The first three episodes of the new series are available to stream now on Prime Video, with the remaining five scheduled to land on a weekly basis through July 8.

Now available to stream on Prime Video. Pistol (Hulu, Disney Plus)

Trainspotting director Danny Boyle pivots to the small screen with Pistol , a six-part, FX-produced miniseries dramatizing the early days of legendary British punk band The Sex Pistols.

Based on guitarist Steve Jones 2017 memoir, Lonely Boy, the show chronicles the coming together of Jones (Toby Wallace), frontman Johnny Rotten (Anson Boon), drummer Paul Cook (Jacob Slater) and bassists Sid Vicious (Louis Partridge) and Glen Matlock (Christian Lees) in the 1970s, charting the bands rapid rise to prominence and notoriety. Talulah Riley, Maisie Williams and Thomas Brodie-Sangster are among the other stars to feature in the series, which has, regrettably, been described by critics (including TechRadars very own Tom Goodwyn ) as being all style and no substance.

Still, Pistol might be worth a look for its off-screen controversy alone.
John Lyndon (aka Johnny Rotten) called the show "the most disrespectful s**t Ive ever had to endure" which makes us more interested in watching than we otherwise mightve been.

Now available to stream on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus in the UK. Interceptor (Netflix)

If youre in the mood for some mindless action fare this weekend, look no further than the feature film debut of Australian novelist Matthew Reilly on Netflix.

Co-produced by Marvel movie star Chris Hemsworth, Interceptor follows a stubborn army officer (played by the Thor actors real-life wife, Elsa Pataky) who finds herself stationed as the last line of defense against a soldier-turned-criminals villainous plan to take over a remote nuclear
    missile base.

Admittedly, that synopsis couldnt sound much more unoriginal, but wed wager that Interceptor will still be an enjoyable way to switch off for 90 minutes especially given the involvement of Extraction and 12 Strong alumnus Hemsworth.

Now available to stream on Netflix. The Orville: New Horizons (Hulu, Disney Plus)

Legendary funnyman Seth MacFarlane's fan-favorite Star Trek spoof, The Orville, returns for a long-awaited third season this weekend.

New episodes will once again focus on the U.S.S. Orville and its misfit crew, with Ed, Kelly, Gordon and company embarking on yet more planet-hopping misadventures through the universe. The series third outing will also mark
the final bow of actor-comedian Norm Macdonald, who passed away in 2021 soon after production concluded.

Episode 1 of The Orville: New Horizons is available to stream now on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus in the UK, with the remaining nine new entries
arriving on a weekly basis every Thursday.

Now available to stream on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus in the UK. Borgen: Power and Glory (Netflix)

Lets be honest: the Scandinavians have always done gritty TV dramas better than anyone else. Borgen, the acclaimed Danish political drama which originally aired between 2010 and 2013, is among the best around, and the series returns to the small screen via Netflix this weekend with Power and Glory (aka Borgen season 4).

New episodes of the The West Wing-esque show focus on the attempts of Foreign Minister Birgitte Nyborg ( Westworld alumnus Sidse Babett Knudsen) to control a dangerous dispute over Greenland oil reserves. Much of the original Borgen cast return to proceedings, with the exception of Game of Thrones star Pilou Asbk.

That all sounds suitably House of Cards-meets-Fortitude, and Borgen: Power
and Glory has been hailed by critics as an intelligent, mature and stylish series that puts American political dramas to shame. Get watching.

Now available to stream on Netflix. Physical season 2 (Apple TV Plus)

Apples pitch-black dramedy, Physical, heads back to Apple TV Plus less than a year after the premiere of its first season this Friday.

The series once again places Rose Byrnes housewife-turned-aerobics guru
Sheila Rubin front and center, with new episodes finding the anti-hero not only forced to confront the realities of growing competition in the fitness industry, but the challenge of staying loyal to her husband (Rory Scovel) in
a world of sun and spandex.

The White Lotus star Murray Bartlett joins the cast for Physical season 2, which is, in itself, enough to pique our interest in the shows swift return. Episode 1 is available to stream now, with the remaining entries set to
    arrive weekly every Friday.

Now available to stream on Apple TV Plus. This is Going to Hurt (AMC Plus)

Having debuted in the UK earlier this year, the BBCs critically-acclaimed adaptation of Adam Kay's best-selling medical memoir, This is Going to Hurt, finally comes to AMC Plus (and Sundance Now) in the US this weekend.

Ben Whishaw stars as Kay in this seven-episode black comedy, which dramatizes the authors experience working as a junior doctor in the OB-GYN ward of a
busy (and we mean busy ) British NHS hospital.

This is Going to Hurt shines a light on the hectic professional and personal lives of medical workers the world over, so were inclined to describe it as necessary viewing in 2022. Episode 1 of the show is available to stream now
on those aforementioned streamers, with new entries arriving weekly.

Now available to stream on AMC Plus. Check out all the biggest new movies coming to theaters in 2022

    Description:
From live-action fairytale remakes to returning comedy series, theres plenty to watch this weekend.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

Its high fantasy season on streamers right now, with the likes of House of
the Dragon and The Rings of Power dominating most of the cultural
conversation but if swords and sandals arent your thing, this weekend's arrivals should provide some welcome respite.

Leading the charge over the next few days is Pinocchio on Disney Plus the latest live-action fairytale remake from the House of Mouse and Cobra Kai season 5 on Netflix. No new HBO Max movies or TV shows make the cut this
week, but both Apple TV Plus and Paramount Plus get a look-in, instead.

Below, then, weve rounded up seven of the biggest new movies and TV shows available to watch on streaming services this September weekend. Pinocchio (Disney Plus)

Another year, another remake of a Disney classic. This time around, its Carlo Collodis centuries-old tale of a magical wooden puppet, Pinocchio, getting
    the live-action treatment.

Tom Hanks, Cynthia Erivo, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Beauty and the Beast alumnus Luke Evans all star in the new adaptation, which comes from Oscar-winning director (and frequent Hanks collaborator) Robert Zemeckis. Interestingly (and perhaps thankfully), the design of the titular puppet
looks near-identical to that used in the Disneys 1940 classic yellow hat,
red feather and all suggesting viewers can expect a like-for-like retelling.

Disneys Pinocchio isnt the only Pinocchio movie heading to screens in 2022, either. Pan's Labyrinth filmmaker Guillermo del Toro is also reinventing the classic story in stop-motion form for Netflix. His version the aptly-named Guillermo del Toros Pinocchio is set to land on the streamer this December.

Now available to stream on Disney Plus. Cobra Kai season 5 (Netflix)

Arriving ahead of its predicted Christmas release date this weekend is Cobra Kai season 5, which looks set to continue the form of one of the best Netflix shows .

New episodes of the popular Karate Kid spin-off will find the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang fighting schools reeling from their defeat to the new Terry Silver-led Cobra Kai at the All-Valley Karate Tournament. In a bid to stop
the latter opening up multiple dojos across the valley, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) teams up with Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto) to stop him.

If youve never watched Cobra Kai before, its likely that none of the above will make any sense but hey, you wouldn't join the party on season 5, would you?

Now available to stream on Netflix. The Good Fight season 6 (Paramount Plus)

The Christine Baranski-led legal drama, The Good Fight, comes to its bittersweet conclusion this weekend on Paramount Plus.

Season 6 finds Baranskis Diane demoralized and in a state of despair after
the events of season 5 (no spoilers here!), and new episodes will see her forced to navigate the impending civil war set to explode within her firm. Acting additions include John Slattery and Andre Braugher, while Alan Cumming will also briefly reprise his role as his The Good Wife character Eli Gold.

The Good Fight season 6s first instalment is available to stream now in the
US and UK, with its remaining nine episodes due to arrive every Thursday.

Now available to stream on Paramount Plus. American Gigolo (Showtime
    Anytime)

Its been a busy few years for Jon Berthal, and the Punisher actor gets
another leading man slot in Showtimes new limited series, American Gigolo.

A serialized adaptation of Paul Schrader's 1980 movie of the same name, this one sees Bernthal starring as a one-time escort, Julian Kaye (the character famously played by Richard Gere), who sets out for answers after completing a 15-year prison sentence for a murder he didn't commit.

Reviews for American Gigolo have been decidedly lukewarm so far, but those interested in an alternative take on Schrader's classic movie may still find plenty to enjoy. The shows first episode is available to stream from Sunday
on Showtime Anytime in the US and Sky and Now TV in the UK. Subsequent episodes will follow on a weekly basis.

Available to stream on Showtime Anytime and Sky and Now TV from Sunday. Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return (Disney Plus)

Having hoodwinked many fans by posturing (intentionally or not) as a second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi, A Jedi's Return has landed on Disney Plus to offer
a look behind-the-scenes of one of this years biggest series.

In a similar vein to Marvels Assembled documentaries, this feature-length
film takes a microscope to the making of Obi-Wan Kenobi, exploring how and
why both Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen returned to roles that they themselves thought theyd left behind for good.

We wouldn't exactly describe A Jedi's Return as compulsory viewing for Star Wars fans but itll certainly pique the interest of those who enjoyed Disneys record-breaking spin-off show.

Now available to stream on Disney Plus. Gutsy (Apple TV Plus)

In a rare break from tradition, Apple TV Plus swaps slick dramas for factual storytelling this weekend with Gutsy.

An eight-episode adaptation of their best-selling novel, The Book of Gutsy Women, Gutsy follows Hillary and Chelsea Clinton on a road trip across
America in search of the women who inspire them. On their travels, the pair encounter the likes of Gloria Steinem, Jane Goodall, Goldie Hawn, Megan Thee Stallion, Amy Schumer and Kim Kardashian so theres surely some valuable
words of wisdom to be heeded here for everyone.

Gutsys first episode is available to stream now, with its remaining seven entries set to arrive on Apple TV Plus on a weekly basis every Friday.

Now available to stream on Apple TV Plus. Flight/Risk (Prime Video)

Warning: this weeks documentary pick is not recommended for anyone preparing to board a flight.

As told by the Pulitzer Prize-winning Seattle Times journalist Dominic Gates, Prime Videos Flight/Risk recounts the events leading up to and following
the tragic crashing of two Boeing 737 Max planes just five months apart in 2018 and 2019, respectively.

Affected family members, their legal teams and the whistleblowers who exposed various flaws in the Boeing organization also lend their testimony in this feature-length film, which shares its subject with Netflixs own documentary, Downfall: The Case Against Boeing.

From star-studded Hollywood biopics to new Netflix thrillers, theres plenty
    to watch this weekend.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

Depending on your perspective, one of the biggest benefits of the streaming revolution has been the shortening of theatrical exclusivity windows. In
other words, films that debut in theaters now land on the best streaming services far, far quicker than they used to, and this weekend, Ben Afflecks new Nike drama, Air , gets the on-demand treatment.

The Matt Damon-starrer is now available to stream on Prime Video having only hit theaters as recently as April and is joined on this weeks list of new options by The Mother on Netflix , The Muppets Mayhem on Disney Plus and many more new titles.

Below, then, weve rounded up seven new movies and TV shows to catch on streaming services over the next few days. Air (Prime Video)

If you missed Ben Afflecks new Nike drama, Air , in theaters last month: fear not. The film is now available to stream (for free, no less) on Prime Video.

Starring Matt Damon, Viola Davis, Chris Tucker, Jason Bateman and Affleck himself, this true-to-life sports biopic traces the development of Nike's iconic Air Jordan basketball sneakers though Michael Jordan himself doesnt actually feature.

Critics verdicts ranged from unsatisfying to a joy to watch when the film debuted in April, so were inclined to believe that Air could yet earn itself
a place on our list of the best Prime Video movies .

Now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The Mother (Netflix)

Having originally been slated for release in 2022, The Mother finally makes its way to Netflix this weekend.

This paint-by-numbers-sounding thriller stars Jennifer Lopez as a deadly female assassin who comes out of hiding to protect the daughter she gave up years before. Gael Garcia Bernal, Joseph Fiennes and Omari Hardwick count among the films supporting cast.

In fairness, Lopez herself has earned praise for her kick-ass performance in The Mother , but the film overall has been largely panned by critics. Dont count on this one making our list of the best Netflix movies any time soon, but if you want an actioner starring one of the most charismatic actors on
the planet, it's got to be worth a go.

Now available to stream on Netflix. The Muppets Mayhem (Disney Plus)

In the mood for some music-making Muppets this weekend? Disney Plus has you covered with new mockumentary series The Muppets Mayhem .

This 10-episode comedy show centers on Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem Band as they attempt to record their first studio album with the help of an ambitious music executive (Lilly Singh). Original songs come from Linda
Perry, while Adam F. Goldberg (creator of The Goldbergs ) and Bill Barretta share showrunning duties.

Guest stars for The Muppets Mayhem include wait for it Morgan Freeman,
Paula Abdul, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Ryan Seacrest, Steve Aoki, Danny Trejo, Lil Nas X, Ben Schwartz, Ziggy Marley and many, many more, so music fans should find plenty to enjoy here.

Now available to stream on Disney Plus. Eurovision 2023: The Grand Final (Peacock)

What more can we say about the Eurovision Song Contest that you dont already know?

This years Grand Final takes place in Liverpool on behalf of last years winners, Ukraine with 26 contestants battling it out to be crowned Europes best/worst/cheesiest (delete as necessary on the night) performer.

US viewers will find the show streaming on Peacock at 12pm PT / 3pm ET this Saturday, while those in the UK should head to BBC iPlayer at 8pm BST (also
on Saturday). And don't forget that the Eurovision movie on Netflix from 2020 is a fun time!

Available to stream from Saturday on Peacock in the US, and BBC iPlayer in the UK. City on Fire (Apple TV Plus)

Apples latest foray into slick detective drama, City on Fire , begins streaming on Apple TV Plus this weekend and it could be one of the best
    Apple TV Plus shows yet.

Adapted by Gossip Girl co-creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage from
the 2015 novel by Garth Risk Hallberg, this eight-episode thriller charts the fallout of 2003 Central Park shooting that took the life of a promising NYU student. Chase Sui Wonders, Wyatt Oleff, Jemima Kirke, John Cameron Mitchell are among the shows ensemble cast.

City on Fire has earned mixed reviews from critics, with most of the praise directed towards its performances, style and soundtrack. The series first three episodes are now available to stream on Apple TV Plus, with the remaining five installments arriving weekly every Friday through June 16.

Now available to stream on Apple TV Plus. Class of '09 (Hulu)

Hulu may be joining forces with Disney Plus in the coming months, but the streamers latest FX-produced series, Class of '09 , is remaining exclusive to its own TV library for now (in the US, at least).

This eight-episode drama jumps back and forth between the past, present and future to illustrate how artificial intelligence (AI) technology impacts
both positively and negatively America's criminal justice system. Sounds ominous.

The shows cast is headed by Kate Mara and Brian Tyree Henry, with Brooke Smith, Sepideh Moafi and Brian J. Smith in tow as supporting characters. The first two episodes of Class of '09 are available to stream now on Hulu in the US. UK viewers will find the same two entries streaming on Disney Plus under the Star banner.

Now available to stream on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus in the UK. Still:
A Michael J. Fox Movie (Apple TV Plus)

This weeks documentary pick chronicles the personal and professional triumphs and travails of Hollywood legend Michael J. Fox.

Now streaming on Apple TV Plus after enjoying a rare theatrical release, this feature-length film shines a light on Foxs ongoing battle with Parkinson's disease and the Back to the Future actors continued commitment to living life as an incurable optimist.

Critics have described Still as stirring, intimate and enormously watchable, so this could be one of the best Apple TV Plus movies of 2023.Oh, and UK readers will probably be happy to learn that Back to the Future itself is on Prime Video right now, if you want a palate cleanser afterwards.

Now available to stream on Apple TV Plus.

    Description:
From new supernatural dramas to subversive rom-coms, theres plenty to watch this weekend.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

Despite last weeks decidedly lukewarm crop of new movies and TV shows to enjoy, January has seen fit to bow out with a much more promising mix of headline-grabbing arrivals.

In fact, there are so many great new things to watch this weekend that its hard for us to reasonably summarize the selection here. Instead, well simply say that Netflix , Prime Video , Disney Plus and Apple TV Plus subscribers have plenty to look forward to over the next few days, with only HBO Max lacking in the just added department.

Below, weve rounded up seven of the biggest new movies and TV shows to watch on streaming services this weekend. Happy binging, folks! Shrinking (Apple TV Plus)

Apple will be hoping to continue its recent run of prestige TV successes with Shrinking, which begins streaming on Apple TV Plus this weekend.

Not to be confused with fellow Apple TV Plus psychiatry drama The Shrink Next Door, this 10-episode series from Jason Segel and Ted Lasso creators Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein stars Segel as Jimmy, a therapist who begins to deflect his own personal struggles onto those of his patients. Fresh from his TV debut in 1923 on Paramount Plus , Harrison Ford also features here as Jimmy's partner in practice, Paul.

The first two episodes of Shrinking are available to stream now, with the remaining eight set to arrive weekly every Friday through March 24. Heres hoping it earns a spot on our list of the best Apple TV Plus shows .

Now available to stream on Apple TV Plus. Lockwood & Co. (Netflix)

As our entertainment reporter, Tom Power, noted in his reaction to its first trailer, new Netflix series Lockwood & Co. looks like it could be a winning mash-up of Sherlock Holmes, Ghostbusters and Doctor Who.

Directed by Attack the Block filmmaker Joe Cornish (and produced by his longtime friend Edgar Wright ), this eight-episode supernatural adventure based on Jonathan Strouds novel series of the same name follows a group of gifted teenagers who do battle with Londons myriad ghosts and ghouls.

Netflix will be hoping Lockwood and Co. enjoys success comparable to Wednesday, its megahit Addams Family TV show that's been renewed for a second season , rather than The Irregulars , another Sherlock-inspired Gen Z series that the streamer canceled after just one season in May 2021 .

Now available to stream on Netflix. Shotgun Wedding (Prime Video)

Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore returns to the big (or small?) screen this weekend with Shotgun Wedding on Prime Video.

Starring Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel, this quite frankly ridiculous-sounding rom-com follows a bride and groom whose wedding is gatecrashed by gun-wielding criminals. Naturally, the couple takes matters into their own hands in a bid to save their special day, and things get suitably heated (read: violent).

Now, we dont necessarily expect Shotgun Wedding to break onto our list of the best Prime Video movies any time soon, but if youre looking for an easy watch this weekend, you cant go far wrong with this one.

Now available to stream on Prime Video. You People (Netflix)

The first of many star-studded new Netflix movies heading to the platform in 2023, You People is now available to stream.

Featuring the likes of Eddie Murphy, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and co-producer
Jonah Hill, this culture-clash comedy from black-ish creator Kenya Barris follows a young couples struggle to navigate their new family relationships
in light of stark generational differences.

Critics have called You People brilliantly hilarious, pertinent and wickedly smart, so theres every chance it could rank among our pick of the best
    Netflix movies in 2023.

Now available to stream on Netflix. Extraordinary (Hulu)

If youre in the mood for a superhero adventure that isnt your typical superhero adventure, then new Hulu show Extraordinary could be for you.

From the producers of BBC megahit Killing Eve, this eight-episode series follows Jen (Mirad Tyers), a 25-year-old woman who struggles to make her way in a world where everyone past the age of 18 has developed a superpower except for her.

Hulus latest drama has been described as raucous and surreal by critics with Tyers magnetic performance earning plenty of praise so were excited to get stuck into this one. UK viewers will find Extraordinary streaming on Disney Plus.

Now available to stream on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus in the UK. Poker Face (Peacock)

Knives Out director Rian Johnson transitions to the small screen this weekend with new procedural series Poker Face on Peacock.

Fronted by Russian Doll star Natasha Lyonne, this Columbo-inspired mystery-of-the-week show follows Charlie, a casino worker whose innate
ability to detect when someone is lying makes her the perfect detective. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Nick Nolte, Adrien Brody, Chloe Sevigny, Rhea Perlman and Tim Blake Nelson count among the series vast ensemble cast.

Johnson himself directs a large portion of Poker Faces 10-episode debut season, so Glass Onion fans should find plenty to enjoy here. The series
first four installments are available to stream now, with the remaining six arriving weekly every Thursday.

Now available to stream on Peacock. The 1619 Project (Hulu)

This weeks documentary pick is The 1619 Project on Hulu.

Based on the groundbreaking, Pulitzer-winning New York Times series of the same name, this six-part production helmed by its original writer Nikole Hannah-Jones re-examines American history through the lens of slavery.

The docuseries first two episodes are available to watch today, with the remaining four installments set to arrive in pairs over the next two Thursdays. UK viewers will likely find this one streaming on Disney Plus, though a release date hasnt been announced yet.

Now available to stream on Hulu.

    Description:
From new TV thrillers to returning fan favorites, here are the best films and TV series to stream this weekend.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

The final weekend of February 2023 is upon us and there's a veritable bounty of new movies and TV shows to subsequently check out.

As is customary around these parts, we've rounded up seven of the most intriguing and (potentially) entertaining series and films for the weekend. Unsurprisingly, Netflix dominates this week's list, but there are entries
from Prime Video , Disney Plus, and Apple TV Plus, too. There's even one from Peacock we know, we surprised ourselves with that one.

Here, then, are the TV shows and movies you have to stream over the next few days. Outer Banks season 3 (Netflix)

Outer Banks is one of those Netflix shows that just grabbed viewers' attentions when it debuted in April 2020 and it's refused to let go ever since. Fans of the teen mystery drama series will be delighted to hear, then, that it's back for its long-awaited third season.

This time, the Pogues find themselves cut adrift from the titular coastal town, washing up on a new island where different treasures are waiting to be found. With various foes still on their trail, though, and tensions fraying among the group, Outer Banks season 3 promises to deliver more thrilling spectacles and drama-laced moments for its millions-strong fanbase. Don't be surprised to see it sneak onto our best Netflix shows list very soon.

Now available to stream in full worldwide on Netflix. The Consultant (Prime Video)

Office-based thrillers and dark comedies are becoming an increasingly fascinating fixture of the streaming landscape, with the likes of Severance and Mythic Quest enthralling viewers in recent times.

Prime Video's The Consultant looks to add its name to that list. The twisted workplace comedy-thriller stars Christoph Waltz as Mr. Patoff, a mysterious and eccentric consultant (surprise surprise) seemingly come to the rescue of CompWare, an app-based company, when a merger with another organization falls through. It isn't long before Patoff stamps his authority on CompWare's employees, who find themselves forced to carry out new demands that challenge them personally and professionally. One to add to our best Prime Video shows guide? You bet.

Now available to stream in full worldwide on Prime Video. Bel-Air season 2 (Peacock)

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air 's drama-fuelled 21st century reboot is back for its second season on Peacock this weekend.

Following the dramatic conclusion of its first season, Bel-Air 's next installment finds Will attempting to navigate all aspects of his life, all
the while being challenged when new characters enter the picture and start trying to influence the young man he needs to be. Interestingly, Tatyana Ali who portrayed Ashley in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is set to make recurring guest appearances in Bel-Air season 2. Fans of the original might want to check this one out to see how she factors into the equation.

Bel-Air season 2's first three episodes are available to stream now on Peacock in the US, with new episodes dropping every Thursday. UK viewers can watch the series via Sky and Now TV. Die Hart (Prime Video)

After the success Nicolas Cage had with meta-comedy movie The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent , it's Kevin Hart's turn to play a fictionalized version of himself in a movie.

That's the basic premise of Die Hart , which sees Hart portray himself as he attempts a career pivot from comedy wingman to the world's greatest action star. John Travolta, Nathalie Emmanuel, Josh Hartnett, and Jean Renno are among the film's supporting cast.

If Die Hart 's title rings a bell, it's because it was originally a
10-episode Quibi TV show. With the demise of that streaming service, Amazon has repurposed Die Hart for its Prime Video audience, turning the TV show
into a feature-length film. We're not sure why either, but we'll be adding
Die Hart to our new Prime Video movies list shortly. Don't expect it to squeeze its way into our best Prime Video movies article, though.

Now available to watch worldwide on Prime Video. Liaison (Apple TV Plus)

Apple TV Plus is finally being recognized as a big player on the streaming stage. And, like its contemporaries, it's translating that success by branching out and greenlighting more foreign language productions.

The latest of those projects is Liaison , a six-episode French-English original series starring Eva Green and Vincent Cassel among other notable names. It's described as a high-stakes, contemporary spy thriller that explores "how the mistakes of our past have the potential to destroy our future, combining action with an unpredictable, multi-layered plot whereespionage and political intrigue play out against a story of passionate and enduring love".

Could it make it onto our best Apple TV Plus shows ? It's certainly possible, but we'll have to see what all six episodes are like first before we can pass judgment.

Liaison's first episode is available now on Apple TV Plus, with new episodes debuting on the streamer every Friday. Fleishman is in Trouble (Disney Plus)

After making its debut on Hulu in the US last November, Fleishman is in Trouble has finally come to Disney Plus in international territories.

The drama miniseries stars Jesse Eisenberg as Toby Fleishman, a 41-year-old recent divorcee who has found dating success among the world's many, well, dating apps. However, when his ex-wife Rachel (Claire Danes) goes missing, Toby is left with his children Hannah and Solly, potentially scuppering his chances of sexual freedom and a promotion at work.

Fleishman is in Trouble was positively received upon its initial release in late 2022, so audiences based outside of the US should find plenty to enjoy about this one. Look out for it on our best Disney Plus shows list soon.

All eight episodes are available to stream on Disney Plus in the UK and overseas, as well as on Hulu in the US. We Have a Ghost (Netflix)

It wouldn't be a weekly TechRadar streaming list without a new Netflix movie to watch, would it?

This week's entry is We Have a Ghost , a family comedy-horror based on a
Geoff Manaugh short story called Ernest . When Kevin ( Marvel star Anthony Mackie) and his family discover their new home is haunted by a ghost named Ernest ( Stranger Things ' David Harbour), they set up a YouTube channel and turn themselves and Ernest into overnight stars. However, when Kevin and Ernest start to unearth the truth behind the latter's death, they find themselves pursued by the CIA. Yeah, we have no idea why, either.

A potential entry in our best Netflix movies list, for sure, so we're hoping it won't fall foul of other Netflix original films that haven't resonated
    with audiences.

Available to watch now worldwide on Netflix.

7 new movies and TV shows on Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Plus and more this weekend (March 3)

    Date:
    Fri, 03 Mar 2023 15:00:43 +0000

    Description:
From returning Star Wars series to original music dramas, theres plenty to watch this weekend.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

February wasnt a particularly brilliant month for new movies and TV shows to watch on streaming services in truth, we havent seen a real tentpole series release since The Last of Us back in January but thankfully, the likes of Disney Plus and Prime Video have seen fit to kick off March with a bang.

Leading the charge this weekend is The Mandalorian season 3 , which arrives
on Disney Plus some two-and-a-half years after we last saw Pedro Pascals Din Djarin take to the skies with Baby Yoda in tow (notwithstanding the pairs
turn in The Book of Boba Fett ). Prime Videos long-awaited music drama, Daisy Jones and the Six , also finally hits the screen after years spent in development.

Below, weve rounded up seven of the biggest new movies and TV shows available to watch on streaming services this weekend. The Mandalorian season 3 (Disney Plus)

Everyones favorite father-son-style duo returns to intergalactic action this weekend on Disney Plus.

Picking up after the events of The Book of Boba Fett , The Mandalorian season 3 finds Pedro Pascals titular space warrior embarking on a
forgiveness-seeking journey to his birthplace, the mysterious planet of Mandalore. Grogu is along for the ride, too, and we expect to see the little green fella flexing even more force powers as the pair traverse new regions
    of the Star Wars galaxy.

The Mandalorian season 3s first episode is available to stream now on Disney Plus, with the remaining seven entries set to arrive weekly every Wednesday. For more on what to expect from the show's return, read our in-depth
interview with The Mandalorian 's new director-executive producer, Rick Famuyiwa .

Now available to stream on Disney Plus. Daisy Jones and the Six (Prime
    Video)

Theres been a distinct lack of music-based TV drama in recent years, but
Prime Videos long-awaited new show, Daisy Jones and the Six , is here to change that.

Based on the best-selling novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, this Almost Famous -esque series which features a grand total of 24 original songs traces the rise and fall of a fictional, Fleetwood Mac-style 1970s rock band over multiple decades. Riley Keough stars in the title role alongside Sam Claflin, Suki Waterhouse, Timothy Olyphant, Will Harrison, Sebastian Chacon and Josh Whitehouse.

The first three episodes of Daisy Jones and the Six are available to stream now on Prime Video, with the remaining seven installments arriving in various batches through March 24.

Now available to stream on Prime Video. Finding Michael (Disney Plus)

Former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews swaps reality TV for documentary drama with Finding Michael on Disney Plus.

In 1999, Matthews brother, Michael, became the youngest Briton to summit
Mount Everest but then he disappeared without a trace. This feature-length production charts Matthews risk-laden mission to recover Michaels body.

Critics have described Finding Michael as haunting and incredibly moving, suggesting it could rank alongside Nat Geos The Rescue as one of the best Disney Plus documentaries released on the streamer so far.

Now available to stream on Disney Plus. Wreck (Hulu)

Having first aired on BBC Three in the UK back in October 2022, slasher
comedy Wreck makes its way onto Hulu in the US this weekend.

Starring Oscar Kennedy, this six-episode drama series follows Jamie, a teenager who takes a job aboard a cruise ship as a pretense to investigate
his sister's mysterious disappearance. Things go awry, however, when a killer in a yellow duck mask starts picking off guests one by one (because why
    not?).

Reviews for Wreck were decidedly mixed when the show debuted in the UK last year, but slasher-horror fans should find plenty of bloody action to enjoy here.

Now available to stream on Hulu in the US. A Whole Lifetime With Jamie Demetriou (Netflix)

The first of this weeks Netflix picks is A Whole Lifetime With Jamie
    Demetriou .

Produced by the BBC, this feature-length sketch comedy finds Stath Lets Flats creator Jamie Demetriou digging deeper into the various stages of human life from birth to death to Love Island ?

Sure, that all sounds a little weird on paper, but The Guardian s
praise-laden review of the show comedy doesnt get more punishingly funny or magnificent than this" suggests A Whole Lifetime With Jamie Demetriou could be one of the best comedy specials on Netflix.

Now available to stream on Netflix. Chris Rock: Selective Outrage (Netflix)

Sticking with comedy, Chris Rocks second Netflix special since The Slap, Selective Outrage , is available to stream from Saturday.

In fact, Selective Outrage will mark the first-ever Netflix stand-up comedy show to be streamed live, with a special pre-show (hosted by Ronny Chieng)
set to begin at 9:30pm ET / 6:30pm PT / 2:20am GMT on Sunday.

Naturally, critics havent had a chance to deliver a verdict on Rocks latest material just yet, so youll have to tune in with the rest of the world to
    hear the comedian's latest musings.

Available to stream on Netflix from Saturday. Voices Rising: The Music of Wakanda Forever (Disney Plus)

Despite wildly mixed reviews for its overall quality as a movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Foreve r earned near-unanimous praise for its excellent
score on release last November. Now, Disney has released a three-episode series dedicated to just that.

Voices Rising: The Music of Wakanda Forever reveals how The Mandalorian composer Ludwig Gransson collaborated with musicians, artists and the films director, Ryan Coogler, to craft the award-winning music of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever .

The specials first episode is available to stream now on Disney Plus, with
the remaining two entries set to arrive weekly every Tuesday through March
    14.

Now available to stream on Disney Plus.

    Description:
From returning TV dramas to new Prime Video thrillers, theres plenty to watch this weekend.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

The majority of TechRadars staff are currently preoccupied with the fallout
of Apples recent iPhone 15 launch event, but we couldnt let the week go by without sifting through the latest crop of new movies and TV shows to stream on the likes of Netflix, Prime Video and Disney Plus .

The headline arrivals are two returning shows The Morning Show on Apple TV Plus and Welcome to Wrexham on Hulu but theres plenty of original content to enjoy, too, such as El Conde on Netflix and Wilderness on Prime Video.

Below, youll find our pick of the biggest and best new movies and TV shows to stream this weekend. The Morning Show season 3 (Apple TV Plus)

Starry newsroom drama The Morning Show has gone from unloved Apple TV Plus poster child to prestige TV mainstay in recent years, and the opening two episodes of the shows third season are now available to stream.

Heres the official synopsis for The Morning Show season 3 : "The future of
the network is thrown into question and loyalties are pushed to the brink
when a tech titan (Jon Hamm) takes an interest in UBA. Unexpected alliances form, private truths are weaponized, and everyone is forced to confront their core values both in and out of the newsroom." Same old The Morning Show shenanigans, then.

Critical reception to the series new episodes has been fairly lukewarm so
far, but heres hoping that Apples Jennifer Anniston-starrer can maintain its place among the best Apple TV Plus shows around.

Now available to stream on Apple TV Plus. Welcome to Wrexham season 2 (Hulu, Disney Plus)

Even if you only half-heartedly followed the exploits of Wrexham A.F.C. football club last season, youll likely already know how Welcome to Wrexham season 2 the second installment of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenneys fly-on-the-wall sports docuseries ends.

But in spite of that fact or rather, because of it the shows 15 new
episodes are sure to make your hairs stand up on end, such has been the downright fairytale journey of Wrexhams fans and players since the clubs Hollywood takeover in 2021.

The first episode of Welcome to Wrexham season 2 is now available to stream
on Hulu (or Disney Plus, if youre in the UK), with the series remaining 14 entries set to arrive in pairs every Tuesday over the next few weeks.

Now available to stream on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus in the UK. El
    Conde (Netflix)

Have you ever wondered what infamous fascist Chilean dictator Augusto
Pinochet might do if he were a) still alive and b) a 250-year-old vampire?
No, neither have we but acclaimed biographical filmmaker Pablo Larran (Spencer, Jackie) has seen fit to show us anyway.

El Conde follows a vampiric Pinochet (played by Jaime Vadell) who finds a
new passion for life (and counterrevolution) when an old relationship is unexpectedly reignited.

Sure, that all sounds totally bananas, but critics have nonetheless described this new Netflix movie as brilliant and surreal. Might El Conde make it onto our list of the best Netflix movies ? Watch this space.

Now available to stream on Netflix. A Million Miles Away (Prime Video)

If youre in the mood for an inspiring underdog tale that isnt Welcome to Wrexham , look no further than A Million Miles Away on Prime Video.

This new feature-length Amazon production traces the decades-long true story of Jos M. Hernndez (played here by Michael Pea), who defied his humble
origins as migrant farm worker to earn a job on the International Space Station as a NASA flight engineer.

Critics have praised A Million Miles Away for being both charming and inspiring, so expect this one to adopt a position on our list of the best Prime Video movies very soon.

Now available to stream on Prime Video. Love at First Sight (Netflix)

Netflix has become something of a specialist in schmaltzy rom-coms of late, and Love at First Sight which lands on the streamer this weekend continues that track record.

This so-generic-sounding-you-wont-believe-it movie follows Hadley and Oliver, a pair of twentysomethings who meet and fall in love on a flight from New York to London but lose sight of each other upon landing at Heathrow airport. Will they ever meet again? Were going to go out on a limb here and say: yes.

Now available to stream on Netflix. Wilderness (Prime Video)

Keen for something a little more gripping than Love at First Sight on Netflix this weekend? Prime Videos latest thriller series, Wilderness , has you covered.

This UK-produced Amazon original which is based on B.E. Jones best-selling novel centers on a British couple, Liv (Jenna Coleman) and Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen), whose relationship is thrown into turmoil following an
affair. To patch things up, the pair decide to take a hike through America's National Parks but someone has revenge on their minds.

Wilderness has been described as a trashy, twisted masterclass in vengeance with a dash of Taylor Swift, so if that sounds like something youd be interested in, boot up your Prime Video account ASAP.

Now available to stream on Prime Video. The Gold (Paramount Plus)

Having originally aired on BBC One in the UK back in February, British crime drama The Gold makes its overseas debut on Paramount Plus this Saturday.

This six-episode series recounts the true story and aftermath of the 1984 Brink's-Mat robbery, which saw 26 million-worth of gold bullion stolen from a security depot near Heathrow airport. At the time, it was the largest robbery in history.

British critics called The Gold a 24-carat drama about one of the UKs most shocking robberies earlier this year, suggesting it could be one of the best Paramount Plus series to debut on the streamer so far.

Available to stream on Paramount Plus from Saturday.

7 new movies and TV shows on Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Plus and more this weekend (September 22)

    Description:
From returning Netflix comedies to new John Wick spin-offs, theres plenty to watch this weekend.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

The last few weeks have been pretty lackluster when it comes to new movies
and TV shows to enjoy, but this weekend sees several big-name franchises return to the streamable screen.

Leading the charge is Sex Education season 4 on Netflix , which is joined on the worlds best streaming service by new Spy Kids spin-off Spy Kids: Armageddon , starring Zachary Levi and Gina Rodriguez. The John Wick universe gets a new addition, too, in the form of The Continental on Peacock .

Below, youll find our pick of the best new movies and TV shows to stream on Netflix, Prime Video , Disney Plus and more this weekend. Sex Education
    season 4 (Netflix)

Everyones favorite taboo-breaking Netlflix series, Sex Education , returns
for its long-awaited fourth season this weekend.

The shows third season concluded with Moordale cash-strapped and set to
close, so it wont come as a surprise to learn that this dilemma is the focus of Sex Education season 4. New episodes will also touch on Maeve's new life
in America, as well as Jeans discovery that her new baby daughter, Joy, may not be Jakobs after all. Ouch.

Laurie Nunn's groundbreaking high school drama has been a feature of our best Netflix shows list since first airing in 2019, and we dont expect Sex Education season 4 to buck that trend.

Now available to stream on Netflix. The Continental (Peacock)

Keanu Reeves tenure as gun-fu master John Wick came to a (presumed) end in John Wick: Chapter 4 , but the characters legacy lives on in Peacocks new spin-off series The Continental .

Set across a 72-hour period in the 1970s, this three-episode prequel charts the rise of Winston Scott (played here by Colin Woodell) from British socialite to New York manager of the titular assassins-only hotel chain. A younger version of Charon, the character portrayed by the late Lance Reddick in the main John Wick films, also features.

In our The Continental review , we said the series succeeds thanks to its mostly charismatic cast, 70s-style crime-drama leanings, and true-to-form action. However, with Reeves gone, we also found that The Continental misses that certain je ne sais quoi.

Now available to stream on Peacock. No One Will Save You (Hulu, Disney Plus)

Good horror movies are a rarity on streaming services these days, but Hulus new supernatural thriller No One Will Save You could prove an exception to
    the trend.

Starring Kaitlyn Dever, this 90-minute scare-fest centers on Brynn, a young woman who, while living alone, suddenly experiences a home invasion from extraterrestrial visitors.

Critics have described No One Will Save You which is available to stream on Disney Plus in the UK as a nerve-fraying twist on home invasion horror, suggesting it could be among this years best Hulu movies .

Now available to stream on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus in the UK. Spy Kids: Armageddon (Netflix)

The Spy Kids movies started out great, then got worse, then got terrible, but Netflix will be hoping that its latest family-friendly adventure, Spy Kids: Armageddon , can revive this once-beloved franchise.

Heres the films official synopsis: When the children of the world's greatest secret agents unwittingly help a powerful Game Developer unleash a computer virus that gives him control of all technology, they must become spies themselves to save their parents and the world.

Sure, that plot sounds a little bit like all four previous Spy Kids movies rolled into one, but thats not necessarily a bad thing. Indeed, Same formula, different family, still fun, seems to be the critical consensus for Spy Kids: Armageddon , so its definitely one to watch with the kids this weekend.

Now available to stream on Netflix. Cassandro (Prime Video)

Oscar winning documentarian Roger Ross Williams makes his feature-film debut this weekend with Cassandro on Prime Video.

This giddily entertaining and celebratory biopic tells the inspiring true story of Sal Armendriz (Gael Garca Bernal), the flamboyant and powerful Mexican wrestler known to his fans Cassandro, or the "Liberace of lucha libre."

Cassandro received near-universal critical acclaim following its brief theatrical run, so this is definitely one to add to our best Prime Video movies list soon.

Now available to stream on Prime Video. Still Up (Apple TV Plus)

If youre after something a little lighter this weekend, Apple TV Plus new rom-com series, Still Up , is now available to stream.

This eight-episode show follows insomniac best friends Lisa (Antonia Thomas) and Danny (Craig Roberts), whose relationship deepens as they navigate the small hours together.

Critics have described Still Up as a romcom without the rollicking, rollercoaster vibe [that] the word usually implies, which suggests it could make for a nice change of pace. The series first three episodes are available now, with its remaining five entries due to arrive weekly every Friday
    through October 27.

Now available to stream on Apple TV Plus. Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal season 2 (Netflix)

This weeks documentary pick is the second season of Netflixs true-crime series, Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal .

In March 2023, Alex Murdaugh was found guilty of murdering his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul. Across three new episodes, Murdaugh Murders season 2 delves deeper into the events of that deadly night, featuring first-hand accounts from those who were there in the days leading up to and following the
    murders.

Now available to stream on Netflix.
