    LinkedIn will now let you show off exactly what skills you have with all your favorite workplace apps

    The company explained in a blog post the intention of Connected Apps is to provide evidence of real product usage, instead of just self-declaring
    skills, making it easier for recruiters and employers to verify claims. "Once connected, each app generates a simple statement based on your real
    activity," the Microsoft -owned platform explained. Latest Videos From Watch full video here: LinkedIn verifies your claimed skills by seeing which apps you use The connection works by linking supported apps directly to a LinkedIn profile, and then the system will automatically populate details of how the individual uses any given app and which skills they demonstrate. Importantly, users can't manually change these descriptions to falsify skill claims, and users will get notified when a summary gets added or updated.

    In a support document , LinkedIn described the summary as a "structured, data-backed description of what you actually do with the tool."     Supported apps can be added to a profile via Add section > Connected apps.
