    Previously a customer messaging platform under the Intercom brand, Fin now positions itself as an AI-first company with agents spanning live chat,
    email, WhatsApp , SMS, phone and even Slack. Under the deal, Salesforce would also gain access to Fin's proprietary Apex model, which the company developed instead of relying on third-party models like GPT and Gemini.     It comes at an important time for the company, with its agentic AI platform (Agentforce) now drawing in $1.2 billion in annual recurring revenue, marking a 205% year-over-year growth.     According to the announcement , Fin's agent resolves more than three in four (76%) customer tickets a welcome statistic for Benioff, who has already removed over 5,000 workers since the start of 2025.
