    FULL STORY ======================================================================

Im going to be honest I really dont like wordle. Just not my type of game.

But, you know what I do like? When software gets ported to, and developed for, older and lesser used computing platforms. That makes me smile. A lot.

What follows are attempts at re-creating wordle for a wide variety of
computer platforms (both past and present mostly past). Its all over the
map. From Windows 3.1 to PalmOS to Commodore 64. And a whole lot more.
This is, by no means, a complete list. But, holy cow, theres a lot here.

    Enjoy. Windows 3.1

There are actually two wordle clones for Windows 3.1. Because why not,
    right?

Windle , written in Delphi 1 (a visual RAD IDE for Pascal from Borland).

And WinQuest , which was developed in Visual BASIC 3.0. UNIX Terminals

There are a few command line variations on wordle

cwordl is written in C (hence the name) and can be built and run on just about any UNIX / LINUX / BSD type shell.

wordle.sh is written entirely in BASH.

wordleTTY is written in Python for VT200 and ANSI terminals. Commodore 64

Word Slide! brings wordle to the Commodore 64.

And theres also WORDLE for C=64 . TRS Color Computer 3 (Coco 3)

COCOLE . For the CoCo. Nice. PalmOS

PalmWordle is build for Palm OS 3.5 (and newer) devices. Atari 2600

Just like with Windows 3.1, there are two wordle clones for the 2600.

    2600 Words

And Word Guess . Atari 7800

Say what? Theres a version of wordle for the Atari 7800 too?! Yup. W O R
    D L E . DOS

Once again, DOS has two wordles:

    DOSWord (a 32bit DOS game).

WOR-DOS (for 16 bit DOS). Game Boy

gb-wordle is built for the original Game Boy. Which honestly probably would have sold like hotcakes back in the day. Emacs

WHUT. There is a wordle clone for Emacs? Yup. Wordel . Microsoft Word 97

Ok. Now this is just getting ridiculous. But also awesome.

Wordle written in VBA for Word 97. WORDle 97 .
