5 of the best free movies to stream on Tubi, Pluto TV, Samsung TV Plus, and more this week (December 29)

    Description:
There's action movies, horrors and more to stream this week. And the best
part is, they're all completely free.

    FULL STORY ======================================================================

It's the last week of 2025, and you might be in the mood for some great entertainment. Thankfully the best free streaming services have got you covered, meaning you can get your fill of great films without (further) breaking the bank this holiday season.

I've got some action hits, one huge shark movie, and my favorite
psychological horror movie to recommend this week, and I think you'll be on the edge of your seat with all of these.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's free movies. It's an excellent line
up, if I do say so myself. Batman Begins (Tubi)

    Release date: June 15, 2005
    Length: 140 minutes
    Director: Christopher Nolan
Main cast: Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes, Gary Oldman. Cillian Murphy

The first of Nolan's Batman trilogy should not be missed. Everyone rightly talks about how great Heath Ledger was in The Dark Knight , but it often
means that Batman Begins gets overlooked. Before Cillian Murphy was Tommy Shelby, he was terrifying audiences as The Scarecrow.

Here, we follow Bruce Wayne (Bale)'s origin story from the death of his parents to his journey to become Batman, where he must stop The Scarecrow and Ra's al Ghul (Neeson) from destroying Gotham. It's an excellent first entry into this take on Batman, and far grittier than some of the depictions that came before it. The Perfect Storm (Samsung TV Plus)

    Release date: June 30, 2000
    Length: 130 minutes
    Director: Wolfgang Petersen
Main cast: George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Diane Lane, William Fichtner,
    Karen Allen, Bob Gunton

George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg are quite literally at the helm of this movie, which follows a fishing vessel that was lost at sea during a storm.
The movie focuses on the crew of the Andrea Gail as they try to survive the 1991 Perfect Storm.

It's a bleak watch and ended up being panned critically, but I'm making a
case for it as I do believe it's a worthy watch and one of the strongest,
most emotionally driven disaster movies out there. And hey, it's free, so why not give it a go? The Meg (Tubi)

    Release date: August 10, 2018
    Length: 113 minutes
    Director: Jon Turteltaub
Main cast: Jason Statham, Li Bingbing, Rainn Wilson, Ruby Rose, Winston
    Chao, Cliff Curtis

We're back in the terrifying depths of the ocean for my next recommendation. The Meg is the behemoth of all shark movies, as it follows a 75-foot-long megalodon who is unleashed during a rescue mission and spoiler alert, it isn't friendly.

Now, if you're anything like me, you might have a soft spot for ridiculous shark movies. If so, you won't want to miss The Meg. It's the perfect monster movie to check out when you need to recharge after the holidays. So sit back, relax, and be grateful you're not face to face with one of these huge creatures. Beetlejuice (Fubo TV)

    Release date: March 30, 1988
    Length: 92 minutes
    Director: Tim Burton
Main cast: Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jones, Catherine O'Hara,
    Winona Ryder, Michael Keaton

The Juice is loose on Fubo TV! That's right, you can watch the beloved '80s movie for free this week. Michael Keaton stars as the titular character, a sleazy "bio-exorcist" who is summoned by a recently deceased couple after their home is bought against their will.

It's typical Tim Burton weirdness in the best possible way and with a Danny Elfman score, you really can't go wrong with this. If you enjoyed it, head on over to HBO Max to watch the sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice . The Silence of the Lambs (Pluto TV)

    Release date: February 14, 1991
    Length: 118 minutes
    Director: Jonathan Demme
Main cast: Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins, Scott Glenn, Ted Levine

I've lost track of how many times I've recommended this movie, but I'm doing it again. If you haven't seen The Silence of the Lambs , now's the perfect opportunity.

It's my favorite psychological horror ever, with Jodie Foster stepping into the role of trainee FBI agent Clarice Starling. We follow her as she goes
head to head with the imprisoned cannibal Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins)
in exchange for information about a serial killer she's hunting before time runs out.

It won the Big Five Oscars and is the only horror movie to have ever taken home Best Picture. Which is a shame, but it is a very worthy winner indeed.
