    Description:
Apple could launch three products with the M5 chip this week. Heres what to expect.

FULL STORY ======================================================================Three new Apple products could launch this week, a new report claims All three should include the M5 chip, along with a few other changes Rumors suggest Apple plans to launch more products in early 2026

September saw Apple unveil fresh iPhones , Apple Watches and more, and that means the company is now gearing up for its traditional October product launches. According to the latest rumors, these will be centered on the new
M5 chip, which will find its way into everything from iPads and MacBooks to the Vision Pro headset .

In fact, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman writes in his latest Power On newsletter that Apple plans to lift the lid on these products as soon as this week. If youre wondering what we could see, weve run through all the latest rumors below, helping you get up to speed in time for the release date. 1. M5 MacBook Pro (Image credit: Future)

Apple often releases new MacBook Pro models in October, and that seems likely to play out again. This year, the changes are expected to be minor, with a
new M5 chip the only significant change. This chip is touted to bring better performance and efficiency than the M4 chip that went before it.

If youve been hoping for much more, though, you might be disappointed. While rumors have suggested that Apple is working on a redesigned MacBook Pro with an OLED display and a thinner chassis, this isnt expected to arrive until the M6 chip touches down.

There is an interesting change of course from Apple regarding the M5 chip, though: the company might split the launch of the different M5 chip tiers. That is, the M5 model could launch this week, with MacBook Pro models outfitted with the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips scheduled for early 2026.

Its not immediately clear why this will happen, but news outlet AppleInsider claims to have spoken to sources at Apple that have knowledge of macOS Tahoe development and hardware testing who have confirmed this timeframe. 2. M5
    iPad Pro (Image credit: Romancev768)

At the start October, the tech world was rocked by the news that the unreleased M5 iPad Pro had been leaked to a pair of Russian YouTubers , who posted videos featuring the complete unboxing and examination of the devices.

The tablets were fully functional and appeared to be genuine if unreleased Apple products, suggesting a launch was imminent. That idea has been cemented by an apparent leak by AT&T , as the companys website suggests you will soon be able to pre-order the M5 iPad Pro.

According to testing performed by one of the YouTubers, the M5 chip in the iPad Pro offers 10% faster single-core performance, 16% better multi-core performance, and 34% improved graphics output compared to the M4 chip.

Presumably, the M5 chip in the MacBook Pro should offer similar enhancements. Like the MacBook Pro, though, the M5 iPad Pro is anticipated to be a minor chip upgrade and not much else. 3. A Vision Pro update (Image credit: Future
    / Lance Ulanoff)

The Vision Pro headset has never hit the heights that Apple hoped for, so
will a second-generation model be able to put things right? Judging by what
is rumored for this product, thats far from guaranteed, as industry whispers suggest that the Vision Pro 2 will come with a faster M5 chip and a better strap to make it more comfortable to wear over the long run, but few other changes.

Unfortunately, that means it looks like Apple is not going to be addressing some of the main concerns that have plagued the original Vision Pro. While a new strap would be welcome, it sounds like Apple will not be cutting down the actual weight of the headset. The price also looks to be a point of contention, with a cheaper Vision Pro reportedly being postponed to allow Apple to focus on its upcoming augmented reality glasses .

So thats three products that are set to bring minor updates this week, rather than wide-ranging overhauls. But theyre not the only devices on Apples
roadmap Gurman says that upgraded versions of the HomePod mini, AirTag and Apple TV are on the way, as well as the iPhone 17e, an M5 MacBook Air and the M5 Pro and M5 Max versions of the MacBook Pro. We might have to wait until next year for some of those products, though.
