FULL STORY ======================================================================Samsung Galaxy Ring users are reporting battery problems Most are just seeing significantly reduced battery life One user went to hospital to get the ring removed due to a swollen battery

Yikes! The Samsung Galaxy Ring might have a battery problem, and it got so
bad for one user that they had to rush to hospital to have it removed from their finger because the battery was too swollen.

For several months users have been reporting that their Galaxy Rings arent holding charge like they used to.

Reddit threads and Samsungs own forum are full of users complaining about their Galaxy Rings battery life dropping from around 5 days to 5 hours (or even less in some cases).

The issue seems so widespread in fact with many saying theyre taking advantage of their Galaxy Ring still being under warranty that instead of a repair Samsung reportedly just refunded the full cost of the ring for some after saying that a fix would take a while due to lacking the necessary
    parts.

The battery issues took on a different form recently too, after ZONEofTECH a tech content creator shared photos of a ring with a battery so warped that
it couldnt be removed from his finger. Ahhhthis isnot good. My Samsung Galaxy Rings battery started swelling. While its on my finger . And while Im about
to board a flight Now I cannot take it off and this thing hurts. Any quick suggestions @SamsungUK @SamsungMobileUS? pic.twitter.com/LOO1kSlQUw September 29, 2025

Because it was causing him pain, instead of boarding a flight he was about to catch ZONEofTECH went to hospital to get the wearable successfully removed.

As for what caused this extreme problem ZONEofTECH isnt certain, but he provided a few best guesses including: the heat from Hawaii (where he was attending the Snapdragon Summit), exposure to salt water, and a previously problematic battery noting that much like the users I mentioned before his rings battery life had been slashed significantly from around a week to about one-and-a-half days.

As a result of the ordeal he also noted that he Wont be wearing a smart ring ever again.

    I can definitely understand why.

We reached out to Samsung for comment who said "The safety of our customers
is our top priority. This is an extremely rare case, and we are in direct contact with Mr. Rotar to retrieve the product and learn about the concerns.

As for the battery life issues other users are facing it said it's "looking into" the matter and will get back to us as soon as possible. You might also like Kiss my ring, Apple Watch!
