The answers to today's Strands, game #183, are ESQUIRE VISCOUNT KNIGHT QUEEN DUCHESS EARL BARON SPANGRAM: TITLES My rating: Easy My score: Perfect

I'm always pleased when I see a Q in a Strands puzzle. The letter is always followed by a U, obviously, which drastically reduces the words that can be made from it. Throw in the fact that very few letters can go before a Q
either it's basically vowels or S, occasionally an R and these words are
    not usually hard to uncover.

There were two of them in today's Strands, ESQUIRE and QUEEN, and I found
both with no problems early on. That confirmed the central theme of the puzzle, which the clue of 'Order in the court!' had not necessarily helped much with, and set me on the way to solving what was another fairly simple game.

The answers to today's Strands, game #190, are BOCCE CROQUET CORNHOLE HORSESHOES BADMINTON SPANGRAM: LAWNGAMES My rating: Moderate My score: 2
    hints

Is it just me or was this a really random selection of LAWNGAMES, as the spangram would have it? I've never heard of BOCCE, but I now gather it is similar to bowls or boules and absolutely doesn't have to be (and often
isn't) played on a lawn. BADMINTON is an Olympic sport that is often played
on a hard court or indoors. CORNHOLE and HORSESHOES probably fit the bill, as does CROQUET, but it's all a bit odd. Of course I could be missing something; I'm not an expert and maybe there is some kind of official designation for what is a lawn game and what isn't. Who knows

Either way, I had to solve this one mostly by trial and error, which never makes for the most enjoyable of Strands experience. Hopefully tomorrow will
    be more satisfying.

The answers to today's Strands, game #197, are CHEEK NOSE EARLOBE EYEBROW SEPTUM NAVEL TONGUE SPANGRAM: PIERCING My rating: Easy My score: Perfect

Another day, another easy Strands puzzle. Come on, NYT give us something tougher! Admittedly, the theme clue of 'What a stud!' left things open, and maybe I'd have struggled a little more if I hadn't uncovered CHEEK by
accident when hunting for words. But once I had that it was clear what I needed to do. Completing it was then a simple matter of searching the word grid for parts of the body. Easy.

The answers to today's Strands, game #204, are HAMSTER MUSKRAT SQUIRREL CHINCHILLA PORCUPINE SPANGRAM: RODENTS My rating: Easy My score: 1 hint

I'm rather annoyed at myself for not getting a perfect score today, because this is another fairly easy Strands puzzle from the NYT. But I needed another hint to get going, with no answers standing out despite the (in hindsight) relatively obvious theme clue. The frustrating thing is that 'Gnaw-it-alls' did suggest an animal to me, and I looked for beaver which seemed the most obvious example. But that wasn't there and I used a hint to get started.

Once I had that first word (HAMSTER) it all became a lot easier. MUSKRAT and SQUIRREL were simple, the spangram even more so, and though the final two
were more difficult, in large part due to their spellings, I completed the game in only about five minutes.

The answers to today's Strands, game #211, are HEAVY MIDDLE FEATHER LIGHT WELTER BANTAM CRUISER SPANGRAM: BOXING My rating: Moderate My score: Perfect

I've marked this one as moderate rather than easy, despite the fact that I solved it with no issues, because if you don't watch or know about BOXING you'll probably have found this a lot harder than I did. I'm not a massive
fan these days, but I used to watch it a lot in my youth, back when the likes of Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield dominated the HEAVYweight division.

HEAVY is one of the easier words here; you might well have struggled far more with something like BANTAM, CRUISER or worst of all WELTER. So I suspect today's game will see plenty of easy solves like mine, and plenty where
people either needed lots of hints or failed outright.
