"This is what GitHub was created for," says CEO.
FULL STORY ======================================================================
Early today, a Bay Area software engineer named Ryan Johnson, after having a great idea for a new software project, created his 1,000th empty GitHub repository. Then promptly abandoned the project.
Johnson is the first developer to have abandoned 1,000 empty repositories using the service. Though a GitHub representative noted that several other programmers are right on his heels.
This is a major milestone for GitHub, stated Satya Nadella, CEO of GitHubs parent company, Microsoft. With over 10 Million empty and abandoned repositories, GitHub is leading the way in the growing Started-but-not-really-Started project hosting industry. This is what GitHub was created for.
When reached for comment, the software developer told The Lunduke Journal
that he was honored to be recognized for this achievement.
Im just glad I created a Readme for this one, stated Johnson. Sometimes I forget to create a Readme file before I abandon my projects. Can you imagine if I had forgotten it for the 1,000th one? How embarrassing would that have been?
