FULL STORY ======================================================================
Back in 1985, Activision released The Complete Computer Fireworks Celebration Kit for the Commodore 64.
The software allows you to set the scene (from a number of options like a battleship in a harbor or a cityscape), add a personal message, and choose some music. Then you can launch fireworks to be displayed on your monitor / TV it even allows you to launch the fireworks with your joystick. Which is a nice touch. Fun tidbits: The C64 sid music was arranged by Stephen Gaboury , who would later tour with Cindy Lauper. And the software was programmed by John van Ryzin, who created a number of games for Activision (including H.E.R.O. and X-15 Alpha Mission ).
And now, without further ado, a video showcasing all of the demos within the Computer Fireworks Celebration Kit.
