Hi everybody,

I have had a very relaxed and very much AFK Christmas and New Year celebrations, I hope that you all had a wonderful time off work and spent with your families.

Today is my first day back to work since my Christmas annual leave started on 10th December 2024, the last few weeks have gone so quickly, but I'm ready to embrace work once more.

My next planned time off will surely be the Easter weekend, I really am going to try and get to Revision 2025 - and I can't wait to see some of the friends I have made from the scene there. Are any of you intending to go?

What plans do you all have for the coming year? Anything that sticks out from the ordinary? I think I would like to also learn a new language (spoken) and might try my hand learning something. I would need to somehow immerse myself in it though if I am to become anything more than just a "pleasantries" speaker lol.

I wish for you all to have a wonderful 2025, and look forward to all the new projects everyone starts/continues this year. Thank you all for being legends, lets keep this hobby alive and kicking, and I hope that the BBS scene continues to grow.

Happy New Year!!! Merry Christmas!! Whoot. Nice to hear you had some fun peaceful time and rest. Love the language thing. I plan on advancing my antenna knowledge. I want to be out an about more taking my family to the state parks as I perform POTA Activations. Well have to see. Thanks for the great year sir keep it up!

Very eventful end-of-year here. My wife had to have surgery on the 27th to have a portion of her liver removed laparoscopically. She had a large (8cm) hemangioma causing a lot of pain that had to be removed. She did great. 7 incisions. Got to bring her home on the 30th and we were able to celebrate the New Year from our own living room.

What plans do you all have for the coming year?

It's going to be a big year for our house. My oldest graduates high school and starts college, my youngest turns 16 and will start driving, and it's our 20th anniversary.

I think I would like to also learn a new language

That's cool. What language are you thinking? I took four years of Spanish in high school, and it helped us get around while we were honeymooning in Costa Rica 20 years ago. Learning another language is certainly a useful skill.

Thanks brother... at least I made it through the season. I have so much on my plate - I am hopeful that 2025 is a new leaf for me.
