Just installed Commodore Vision OS on my old IMAC which I kinda find pretty cool just because :-)
Never even heard of the Commodore Vision OS until the other day.
Isn't it so much fun... all the stupid animations and bloat - but I love it. Nothing better for old hardware than ROCKING on legacy software from 40 years ago.
I love all the things we have access to in 2o26... nerd out, r0ckstar... nerd out.
Although I agree with the sentiment, it's not the Commodore OS from days gone by, it is Debian with some bells and whistles with Vice already installed so old Commodore software can be emulated. I installed it on a VM a year or so ago, and it was just bloatware in my opinion, I run many VM's which only run BBS' and all run on Vice, so what I do is run a
simple XFCE desktop install Vice from source add in all the bells and whistles on Vice and just put a Commodore wallpaper.. LOL Makes sense
for me.. I like the idea of it just hate the bloat of the software..
