Hi folks. I discovered recently that Hub 3 didn't appear to be processing netmail messages correctly (with origin lines), and that was confirmed by Jay reaching out. (Thanks)

I took a look at my code that handles messages, and kinda thought that I really overly complicated how I process FTN mail messages and decided to re-write it. That took me down a rabbit hole of optimising how clrghouz handles messages internally to avoid the double (and sometimes triple) handling of variable data while messages are retrieve and stored, or retrieved to be sent out. (Have you ever looked back at your code and thought why did I think this was a good approach? :)

(I was actually wanting to change how I handle mail internally, making it easier to debug - and this fast tracked me doing that.)

So I'm about to turn on the update - my testing shows no issues, but time will tell if I missed anything. So again, if you notice anything odd, please let me know and I'll look at it immediately. (Im keeping processed packets so I can replay them if needed.)

After the update is in place, it would also be helpful if nodes that use Hub 3 could send me a netmail to my BBS (especially a mystic node, since mystic adds an origin line) so I check that the parsing works OK as it passes through the hub.

After the update is in place, it would also be helpful if nodes that use Hub 3 could send me a netmail to my BBS (especially a mystic node, since mystic adds an origin line) so I check that the parsing works OK as it passes through the hub.

So a few issues that I had to address - but I've been watching the logs now for a little while and everything appears to be OK.

Let me know if something doesnt seem right...

Got it thanks - and it looked good.

I discovered I missed one thing when I replied - a quoted your message complete, resulting in a "double" origin line that tripped up my parser. I'll fix that, but otherwise it looked good.
