One part of the Mystic echomail system that remains cloudy to me is the "Routin Info" section of "Echomail Nodes" in mystic configuration.
For Fidonet I put this for Routing Info: 1:*
I'm in Zone 1 (Northeastern USA) - so is that good?
This field is used just for letting Mystic know what to do with Netmail.
So when you send netmail Mystic will look at your defined echomail nodes to figure out which one to use to route netmail to.
In your case you're saying Fidonet zone 1 netmail route via this echomail
node.
You may want to ensure you have routing set up for zones 2,3,4 also... either via that echomail node or a combo of others. I'm based in Zone 3 and run 3:770/1 so if we set up a link you could route Zone 3 traffic via my system
if you wanted? Just an option :)
The reason I'm asking, is because someone on Fido had recently said he thought I had my filenames crossed (or something) because he said that certain conversations were turning up in the wrong echos. I confirmed
that my echo tags were correct, so now I'm scrutinizing everything else
in my setup.
With echomail the echo tag e.g. FSX_GEN are key... you just want to check
that those tags are correct for each echo and are being exported to the
correct echomail nodes... so you wouldn't want to export Fido nodes to your fsxNet HUB or the other way around :)
Hope that helps
