  • You GOT MAIL! But I aint gonna let you see it!

    Scenario: Logging into Mystic and HEY! I got mail! Mystic says Read? Yes or
    No; why yes, yes I do want to see. YES. Mystic sends me to main menu.
    OK fine. Go to Messages, perform Check for Mail, yup, still got new mail waiting. Read? Yup, still want to; Mystic sends me back to Menu. FINE! Go to Indexed Messages and select Email - Mystic missed that one - I finally read
    my email.
    Thoughts on what's failing? The fact that it displays "new mail" tells me the script executed - seems like something in (what script is it?) is failing?

    As I recall, (but I have since removed the mail check option), the "failure" is that you are not in the correct message base.

    I belive to fix this I put commands in the prelogin menu to execute MG and MA commands to switch to the email base prior to the check for email (MC) command and it worked fine.

    Nice, Gary - I think another thing for the OP, NUKE, to look for is making sure NEW USERS (In the NEW USER settings in Mystic) are set to the correct areas, with correct acs to see the email section, or else it will fail for them when getting the NEW USER EMAIL.

    I always like to login and see what a new user apply looks like, and that everything WORKS.
    And I like to have different user accounts for ALL my security levels - and check the BBS with them after changes, too.
