Why do you replies keep going to "ALL"? They should be addressed to the person you're responding to. The way they are coming in now, they would never show up on a personal mail scan, and (not sure about this) probably also break the message thread.

    Hey Geri,

Good catch -- sorry about that. Our NNTP gateway was posting
without the proper "To:" field. We're fixing that on our end.

Thanks for pointing it out, appreciate the heads up.

FYI, if you're using Mystic's NNTP server, you may not be able to change that.

Might as well also let you know that you seem to be sending two tearlines, and two origin lines (there should only be one of each per message).

Are you manually adding a tearline/origin line in your NNTP client? Mystic will automatically append the tearline/origin line to an echomail message, and you can change "New Mystic BBS" to "PhotoRM BBS" in Mystic's configuration, also.

Why do you replies keep going to "ALL"? They should be addressed to the person you're responding to.

If someone is using a newsgroup (NNTP) client to read & post messages, their messages are often posted to "All", even when they're replying to a message.

Good NNTP clients (such as tin) append the X-Comment-To header, so the messages are posted with a proper "To:" field.

I've used both tin and slrn for awhile now. I keep going back to slrn over tin, though. Either way, slrn supports this also.

I'm guessing it's moreso Windows clients that are more difficult to do the same thing (except maybe Claws Mail). Even with Thunderbird (which is what I use) you have to edit your config to add an option for "X-Comment-To" so it appears in your ">>" dropdown menu, then selecting it and filling in the blank, typing in the name you are writing to (ie: way too time consuming when just trying to reply to a message).

Good thing Synchronet can be set to do this for you, otherwise I wouldn't be using Thunderbird right now. ;)

Yeah, but if the News Server is a BBS, it'll probably default to ALL.
