Just curious, here in central Indiana USA gasoline topped $4 a gallon today. Still heading upward. Local experts (hahaha) say we can expect
$5 a gallon by a week from Monday. That coupled with massive price increases at the grocery store, and no such increase in wages this year has put a pinch on the old family budget. Definitely putting in a
vegtable garden in May.

I am going to have to teach my horses to take a saddle, if things go this way for long.

I'm surpised that don't take them out for rides generally. I
suppose they would need horse shoes do that properly.
My neighbors, whom you may remember with the Palaminos, took 2
of the three for a ride on the country road at my house. I was
passing them going up a hill. The roads were still quite icey
and/or covered with snow.. and they were coming DOWN. I suppose
horse shoes would be mandatory in that situation.
