    Don't like that idea. We should prioritise making sense of our local area, our neighborhood than the "global world".

    Using UTC everywhere is confusing. Currently, if it 1AM in New Yor, I know that I probably should avoid calling because it is well into the night there. But if we all use UTC, then 6PM in New York means what? It could be morning, afternoon, night, the wee small hours of the morning.

    One other difficulty, is you have to "adjust", say subtract 10 hours for London from Australia, but if we are both on UTC, the deduction still becomes meaningless.
