Yeah, you shouldnt need a full list - you can route all your netmail via the hub. I'm assuming anybody crashing you direct should receive OK without one?

Possibly, but completely untested. As it stands I'd have to be lucky to
catch it in FrontDoor's reader before it disappeared into the wild blue

Ahh not sure what you're telling FD to ignore. As it stands, when netmail arrives its stuck in the mailers netmail folder, where it will appear in the
FD editor. FMAIL will import, and probably is, the netmail from the FD directory to the Hudson base, yes it does have a netmail board.

I had some issues with the batch files, and FD supplying correct errorlevels,
I think it was being influenced by an extra command shell inside rlfossil,
and the willingness of FMAIL to process all incoming packets in one hit. In
the end during regular echo processing I chose to ignore netmail. As it
stands FMAIL only wants to process one packet and exit. So my batch file
logic is a little obtuse, if it successfully tosses a packet then I re-run FMAIL in case there is another packet to process, if it doesn't process anything then we exit. Because of this I stopped looking for netmail to
process during regular polling.

Given that mess, I think I left netmail to be processed once a day in daily maintenance. Off hand I think it gets tossed to Super's message base, but
given I wasn't particularly interestedI think it actually empties the netmail board at the same time. But I'd have to go back over the lot and verify all that.

Some days you can be lucky. I trundled down to the foodbank today, picked up some veges, bread, bits and pieces. I'd hate to have to live on foodbank goodies alone but it certainly helps.

On the way home I dropped into the recycle store at the local waste transfer. Haven't been in there for a long time, but I've been tasked with keeping an
eye out for another chromecast for a second TV. Didn't find one of those,
but did find some other goodies.

The local mac man, maintains a vast array of firewire based equipment and is almost always on the lookout for anything to add to the chain. So I found a firewire/usb 2 based DVD burner, can't say I've actually seen one before just plenty of hard drives and the odd printer off hand.

The next one was interesting, small black box, looks for all the world like a oversized lego brick. Came with its power supply still dangling from it, interesting array of ports... HDMI, sound, USB, Ethernet.. appeared to power on, but it wasn't doing much... to a while to prise it open, the case is one
of those snap fit things. Turns out to be a Pi 3B v1.2 so about as old as a
Pi 3 can be..turns out I can't get a current boot image onto an old 2Gb SD
card so thats waiting on the back burner for further testing.

And last but not least, a Veriton. Same model as the ones I had some time
back now. I'll see about dropping the hard drive from the ol' Church setup
and give them their website back.

Not bad for a modest outlay, less than a Pi would cost new :)

As long as it'll work on your TV and HDMI is HDMI so I don't see why not.

There are a couple of facets to it being obstreperous. FD will receive netmail, but I'm only using a poofteenth of the nodelist thats been hand modified to contain DNS/IP Addresses. So it doesn't know any remote systems. Received netmail disappears from FD... I've not seen it arrive in Super although it certainly supports it, but by the same token Super has no idea about the nodelist either so addressing and routing are.. interesting. Admittedly netmail was never high on my list of priorities back in the day either...

I havent played with FD too much. I've been meaning too, but always distracted by something else.

If you wanted to test it and work it out, you can send a ping to the hub, and it'll reply with a netmail.
