Never sure about the time zone things :)
It's our Thanksgiving holiday in the USA, going to be a small one this year - my son is with his mother, and my mom's coming over to make it
4 people instead of the usual crowd of my sister's family and a couple
of hangers-on; we'd usually end up inviting a couple of people over
who didn't have family nearby, or another family.
We've got a small turkey, I'm going to make green beans with blue
cheese and pecans, brussels sprouts in a balsamic glaze with pine
nuts, mashed potatoes and gravy from scratch.
I've got the first inaugural carton of egg nog, going to spike it with
a nice bottle of Ardbeg malt whisky I got for my birthday a few weeks' back.
I've got some time to tinker today, work is quiet until Monday. I
picked up a new battery for my home UPS and installed it, it's nice knowing my system will shut itself down when the power glitches, which
it does a lot here. I've got a RAID array that takes forever to verify when the power gets cut.
I bought a SATA enclosure and put a spare 2TB drive in it, hooked it
up to my DD-WRT router and got it shareable via SMB. Finally figured
out how to get Proxmox to see it, and now I'm able to snapshot my VMs.
It might be time to move the BBS to it and reclaim the laptop it's
running on now...
Hope all is well with everyone, and that we all have something we can
be thankful for today.

I mean, it's yesterday here, as I write this. But I always like reading your dispatches from the future.
