What is your secret to losing some lbs? I need to lose a
load too, and working from home, not much exercise is not
doing anything but making it worse lol.
Take stock of what you are eating now.
Reduce/eliminate processed foods, including sugar.
Reduce quantities (reduce caloric intake, ie. avoid overeating)
Drink plenty of water before every meal.
I posted my eating-better-and-dropping-weight journey a while
ago. I'm up 5 lbs right now, but I think it's because of all
the ice-water that I'm having during this hot spell.
I go out for a walk with my son for about an hour every
evening after I finish work, but eating 2 meals a day, not
always "healthy" is the biggest contributing factor for me
I think.
When I had a dog, a brisk evening (and sometimes an early
morning) walk was always part of the routine. I'm not inclined
to formal exercise, but the walks felt great.
I don't have my dog buddy anymore, but do cover a lot of
"steps" at my shop during the day.
Two meals is not great. I learned that it is better to spread
the intended caloric intake during the day in such a way as to
nurture the body with about "X" cal per hour, where "X" is the
total calorie goal (so as not to overeat) divided by 16 (waking
hours). The idea is to provide as even food energy level for
the body throughout the day as possible.
Maybe I should fast for a few months!
If you restrict your intake to whole foods, low carbs and good
fat (nuts, avocado, cheeses), you will nuture the body and may
not even feel the urgency to eat at any specific time and may
even feel perfectly fine skipping or postponing a meal.
