Luckily, e-learning is flourishing, and there's a lot you could do from 
home. I'm saddened that Linkedin is now requiring a Linkedin account for 
their paid Linkedin Learning site.
They'd re-branded Lynda.com, and several libraries had arrangements were you  could access the Linkedin Learning content through the library system and  Lynda.com for free. That's since changed.
If you're in tech, there are a ton of Youtube channels dedicated to setting 
up homelabs and learning hireable skills on inexpensive home equipment.
I'm following one of them with a $5 goodwill router, a $50 laptop with a  broken screen, a spare SATA drive from an old system and a ton of open- 
source software.
You could do well with a Raspberry Pi as a low-end home lab, too.
