I have an electric leaf blower that's useless now. The
charger doesn't work and you (of course) can't buy a
replacment. I brought it home and will attempt to take it
apart to see if there is a fuse in there or something.
This is why I hate anything not powered by gas.

I'm the opposite. I'd rather operate an electric device and
avoid all the extra maintenance and smell that a gas-powered
machine requires.
Case in point, I have an electric weed wacker - took a little
getting used to manipulating the cord for it, but I like being
able to just release the trigger and not hear the motor all the
time.
I have an electric mower too - same circumstances - a chord
that needs to be managed. But again, I like being able to just
release the grip and not have to deal with the motor noise all
the time.
Both of the above are fine for close proximity trim/cut in most
places around the house and yard.
Still, a pair of horses beat mechanical lawn mowers any
day.
This saturday I got drunk after a BBQ and ended up
asleep in the barn cuddling up with a horse. Try that with
a mechanical lawn mower :-)

:/ I dunno what kind of parties you attend, but if the above
scenario is concerning, maybe at least make sure there are
human versions of fillies in attendance. :D

Oh, now I think about it, we once had girls in one of our
parties, and somebody dared bring alcohol too.
I had the memory of finding one of the few beds available
late at night. Some of the girls asked me if I wanted to
share the bed with her. I told her:
"This bed is **mine**, you go look for another one."
I wonder what theoretical drunk you was thinking. What I thought when that happened to me was "My neck is kiling me, I have fallen asleep in such a bad position."
Glad to satisfy your curiosity.

OMG. I read "girls" (plural!) above!! You turned away from an opportunity to share a bed with multiple fillies? Hmmmmm. :/

Sadly, I was wondering what theoretical drunk you was thinking to get into the situation in the first place.
But I see that the horse was the better choice, regardless.

Something along the lines "I am asleepy, and this mare
looks like a comfy cushion."

I thought horses slept standing up.
Horses can sleep standing on, but they need a minimum time
per day laying too. I don't think I have caught any of mine
laying for more than 30 minutes, though, and laying for
long periods of time can be dangerous for their health.
They also organize "guard turns" ...
..This sucks because if I am working around, they may
decide it is my turn for standing guard :-)
I remember another of the girls in the party reached out to
me a year later in another party and tried to convince me
to lend her my hat. Youn may guess how it went for her.

I knew that extended periods of laying down was a problem. Why
is that? Are they crushing their ribcage or restricting
circulation, or something?

"My" hats are OFF limits for me too, especially the one that I
would be wearing at the time.
I was sporting a fine Tilley hat for the first time in public
at one time (the one I'm actually wearing on my FB pic), and
the women around me all wanted to try it on. :/
