FYI, the copy I received didn't go through hub3. Mine went from hub4 > hub1 > me. But that's not to say it wasn't your processing anyway. ;)

So I had a look at the packet I received for that message (which I got from Hub 1), and its a bad message:

\x01REPLY: 21:4/108 9be05da3\rBY: Utopian Galt (21:4/108)\r\x01PID: WWIV 5.9.03748\rOn Saturday,May 23, 2026 at 07:31 PM,

Clrghouz would have parsed the message as "BY: Utopian Galt (21:4/100)" because that is the first line that doesnt start with a kludge.

Since there is a \x01 line after it, it should have been treated it as a bad message (since it isnt an origin nor a path kluge)... But it added its own origin line and found the SEEN-BY and PATH lines.

Since the size of the payload != the size of the message text, it could have worked out it was bad and not sent it at all, but I've not had a message like this to test against. (Now I do :)

Actually its the first message I've seen with a valid kludge in the middle
of the message - I could probably code to allow that... Hmmm...
