Yes, I have enjoyed it. :)

I hope not. Wendy's burgers are good, it doesn't matter which one you order. Their fries tend to be 50/50 though. If you get them hot out the frier they are OK but they go downhill fast.

I always leave Wendy's satisfied but fast food doesn't suit my lifestyle or budget so I don't eat out often.

One thing I've noticed lately is people driving with their high beams
on, at night and even during the daytime. Some of the new lights are painfully bright, too.

Or something quite common around here are people driving at night with
nothing but their daytime running lights on.

It USED to be that if your daytime running lights were on, they were a
reduced brightness and your dash lights weren't on. Now it seems your dash lights are always on and your daytime running lights are equal brightness to low beams. What DOESN'T get switched on are your tail lights if you're running only on daytime running lights.

So we have a BUNCH of people around here who are driving around w/ normal headlight brightness but no tail lights on at all...

You can't blame the driver for being confused as there isn't an indicator
that says your tail lights are off. I think this could have been designed a bit better.

I was even caught by this once. My car has an "auto" setting for headlights, so I leave it on auto all the time, and when it's dark the headlights switch "on" (again, same brightness as daytime running lights) which also turns on
my tail lights. When I brought it in for an oil change they switched it to "off" for some reason, but failed to mention that.

So here I am driving around at night with no tail lights on. Next thing I know I have a cop behind me with lights flashing & pulled me over. They were nice enough to let me know my tail lights were not on and let go without a ticket, so I imagine this is something they also see all the time.

PSA: Make sure your headlights are set to "On" at night, and don't drive around with your high beams on.

My parents who are in their 60s still have their original colour, though

Maybe it's designed purposefully to fulfill the ticket quotas
    for the police! :D

So here I am driving around at night with no tail lights on.

I drive a now 14yr old RAV4. The dashboard lights are OFF when
the daytime running-lights are (always) on. That should be a
good indicator to the driver that the tailights are OFF. Don't
most newer cars behave the same way?

PSA: Make sure your headlights are set to "On" at night, and
don't drive around with your high beams on.

Don't forget the people that use highbeams and are driving
BEHIND you! When I can, I usually try to pull-over and let
those people pass.. then I catch up with them with MY highbeams
on! :D But, most of the time I behave myself and just pull
over to let them pass until they disappear out of sight.

There is some kind of new headlight that has a very annoying and uncomfortable light. I primarily avoid nighttime driving because
I don't want to encounter those. The light is a sickly blue/
    green combination.

Oldest I got asked for ID was 28, when entering a gaming venue. Had a friend who was asked for ID when entering a nightclub at 35. He still looks quite young.

I think most places in the US wind up requiring IDs regardless of age.

So I tend to assume that people are asking for IDs because it's policy,
rather than because they think there's some remote chance I'm under 21.

In Australia, it's generally only if they think you look under 25 (legal age is 18 for most things and 21 at some gaming venues).

Don't forget the people that use highbeams and are driving
BEHIND you! When I can, I usually try to pull-over and let
those people pass.. then I catch up with them with MY highbeams
on! :D But, most of the time I behave myself and just pull
over to let them pass until they disappear out of sight.

There is some kind of new headlight that has a very annoying and uncomfortable light. I primarily avoid nighttime driving because
I don't want to encounter those. The light is a sickly blue/
    green combination.

Here in Ontario we have the "Liquor Control Board of Ontario" or LCBO for short this is where you'd go to buy hard liquor or wine. We also have "The Beer Store" where you'd go to buy, you gussed it, beer. The LCBO is owned/operated by the province whereas The Beer Store is privately owned but regulated by the LCBO.

In more recent times the government has relaxed these monopolies and now allows the sale of single and 6 packs of beer & bottles of wine at grocery stores, though you still have to go to the LCBO for hard liquor.

Anyway, the whole reason I bring this up is all through my 30s I was ALWAYS asked for ID at the LCBO, like always. One time I even had my driver's license scrutinized so has to also show my health card (also issued by the province) and a credit card with my name on it. It felt good that they
    didn't *believe* I was over 19 (I think I was 30 or 31 at the time).

But since hitting 40 they've stopped asking all together. :(

Nevermind my other half who is 8 years older than me and STILL gets asked for ID. We were going through the line at the LCBO once, I was in front of him and didn't get asked for ID, he was right behind me and sure enough: "Sir,
I'm going to need to see some ID please." - I joked with the clerk: "Oh sure, you ask HIM for ID", she chuckled and then did a double take at his birthdate and congratulated him on his good genes. ;)

now allows the sale of single and 6 packs of beer & bottles of wine at grocery stores, though you still have to go to the LCBO for hard
    liquor.

Here, liquor can't be sold in the same section as ordinary groceries, but many supermarkets do have a separate, but attached liquor store.

Anyway, the whole reason I bring this up is all through my 30s I was ALWAYS asked for ID at the LCBO, like always. One time I even had my driver's license scrutinized so has to also show my health card (also issued by the province) and a credit card with my name on it. It felt good that they didn't *believe* I was over 19 (I think I was 30 or 31
    at the time).

Oldest I got asked for ID was 28, when entering a gaming venue. Had a friend who was asked for ID when entering a nightclub at 35. He still looks quite young.

But since hitting 40 they've stopped asking all together. :(

Oh well, happens to all of us. :)

Nevermind my other half who is 8 years older than me and STILL gets
asked for ID. We were going through the line at the LCBO once, I was
in front of him and didn't get asked for ID, he was right behind me and sure enough: "Sir, I'm going to need to see some ID please." - I joked with the clerk: "Oh sure, you ask HIM for ID", she chuckled and then
did a double take at his birthdate and congratulated him on his good genes. ;)

Lucky him. ;) I've got too much grey now, but people do a double take when they see me in action. :)

Hey it's mothers day over here this Sunday, is it the same on your side
    of the ditch?

Sure is, better give mine a call on Sunday. :)

My wall calendar reads for Sunday, May 9th: "Mother's Day (US, CAN,
    AUS, NZ)"

Looks like we all celebrate our mothers on the same day. Which reminds me, I should order some flowers today for delivery on Sunday.

I did make that phone call and had a good chat with Mum. :)

And Fathers Day is a very different proposition, that's on different days in different countries.

I think most places in the US wind up requiring IDs regardless of age.

So I tend to assume that people are asking for IDs because it's policy,
rather than because they think there's some remote chance I'm under 21.

In Australia, it's generally only if they think you look under 25 (legal age is 18 for most things and 21 at some gaming venues).

o.O 21? Can't think of anything that requires you to be 21....you're legally an adult here at 18... Sex, drugs and rock n roll..
