well I hope you have a nice evening. Over here we're expecting heavy rain, winds and cooler temps and it should be summer. :( I'm glad I'm inside today. But if I am good I'll likely get out for a walk soon else risk sitting in

I'm certainly at an unhealthy level of screen time, at this point.

But on the weather bit, I think it got to 8 C today, which seems oddly warm.

But it snowed a couple days ago, which was the first snow fall that stuck at all, despite it being the middle of January. I guess this sort of winter is pretty normal for here, but it's still not quite what I think of as "winter". Even if it's only slightly less snowy than the last winter I spent in Germany.

You and I both... the problem for me is all day in the office in front of a screen and then trying to get enthused to do more at night at home in a personal capacity seems much harder... last night I was going to do some BBS stuff but ended up sucked into a Netflix movie instead. Probably not a bad thing, although it was really swapping out one screen for another. :)

But on the weather bit, I think it got to 8 C today, which seems oddly warm.

That's close to the cooler side of our winters... so (thankfully) about 6-7 months away for me. Phew.

Yeah, pretty similar story for me. At this point I move my work computer

    Indeed. :)

There's a balcony outside my 2nd/3rd story window, and there's a meter-high snow drift there.

Definitely more snow than I've previously experienced in Germany.

And now I'm tempted to go for a walk, even if it's a terrible, pointless
idea. And my knee-high boots are probably not waterproof enough.

But there's actual snow! I still have no idea how Germans deal with this much snow.

Kids get their sleds, adults complain (and would prefer the spring-like weather we had before).

We even had snow in the attic, which doesn't get wet when it rains, but the heavy winds blew the fine snow through every little gap.

Fun fact: it's caused by global warming. Maybe we are getting our cold and snowy winters back.

I did find it interesting seeing a guide on the amount of white Christmases
in Muenster over the previous 30 years or so. It's certainly a rarity, these days.

But, yeah, I imagine there's a reason why it's called "climate change", even
