From Avon@21:1/101 to All on Fri Apr 2 19:39:42 2021
Did some behind the scenes stuff today. Managed to shutter one running PC in
my den/studio and migrate what it was doing over to another box running in
the room. So yeah, some success in that I'm saving on a bit more power (which is good as our power charges went up on 1 April) and working towards
migrating systems down to fewer whirring boxes...

I've also got the RDS working again on the TC so that both Station ID (Total FM) and the now playing data are being broadcast. For the online stream I'm
now also (once again) sending 'now playing' data which had previously broken.

I may play with processing the online audio a little but for now it's
basically a pre processed sound that flows from the playout system to my
mixer than into the online encoder.

Some time ago I was sending now/next data out in echomail and a daily list of songs played out as an echomail report post to a stats / bot echo... I may
work on getting that running again.

Hope your Easter is going well. Our Good Friday is coming to and end and in
the next 24 hours so will daylight savings as we slip further into Autumn.

    Best, Paul

How were you pulling the data for that? From RDLogManager in the command line? Then dropping it into a txt file and having Mystic import that to a message to get posted?

Just a guess.. This might be somehting I want to add to RFGeeks.

Yes essentially that was it. The new version of Rivendel uses Python scripts
to create the same kind of data. I am yet to set that up again for the BBS
BOT stuff but have two versions of the script now running to feed data as
text to Icecast encoder and also via UDP to the transmitter software.
