Hmm so, seeing as we have covid delta slowly arriving here, I bit the bullet and found Astra with extra Zen in my future. You can get walk in vaccination with Astrazeneca, but you have to make appointments to get pfizer. So.. I walked in...
Never one to enjoy being stabbed, it went better than expected initially. The remainder of the day progressed quietly. Was feeling done by about 10:30 which at present rates is an early night. The fun started at midnight. I woke so cold, I was shivering violently, and couldn't get warm. I needed a potty break too, but was shaking so much I had to go for the sit down because I couldn't aim straight. Grabbed the goto panadeine, scarfed a few with warm water, put extra clothes and dressing gown on, and clambered back into bed.
Some time later the chills disappeared and things seemed comfy enough to get off to sleep again... not for long though... I don't know what time it is this time, but now I'm running stinking hot... weirdly because I usually sweat profusely but dry as a bone. Bit of a headache going on, eyeballs wanting to explode every few minutes and a dry tight throat, and the regular aches and pains going full boar too. Gave in and doubled down on the panadeine, added diclofenac and a mersyndol.... that lot took a while to kick in but had be not a lot comfier but going back to sleep at least.
Arriving the morning, things were feeling very ordinary, still head ache and pain, but not hot or cold at least... time for a cuppa tea, regular drugs for the day. And then it went cold again :/ This lasted for a while and another round in bed keeping warm.. followed by you guessed it another hot streak.
And so it goes.. the swings seem to be lessening, and the aches and pains dropping off slowly. The stabbed should feels like a bad bruise. But its been a right royal pain and I'm not looking forward to stabbing #2.
