when it comes to formatting stuff but afaik current industry
practice is to onclude custom fonts withing the epub file.

Interesting. I thought that feature was specific to a device
only. I still haven't seen my Kobo ereader anywhere. :( If I
did, I could tell you what fonts my device offers when your book
is loaded.
