Anyone who had issues with certs signed by Let's Encrypt may have noticed issues. They had a major "oops" by not renewing their own certs which made
all other certs under them appear expired.

I know on iPhones, email accounts that use servers who have certs signed
by Let's Encrypt have issues. I'm not an Apple person but if anyone knows
how to force an update of the cert without having to recreate an email
account I'd love to hear from you.

In my case, I'm running my own mail server. I had to generate a new cert on that. But before I could get my iPhone (running iOS 15) to 'see' the cert I had to restart that as well. As soon as the iPhone was restarted it had no issues using the new cert.

... When all else fails, read the instructions

I run my own mail server and a few for clients as well. The server itself has had no issues as when LE finally installed a valid cert for themselves it was fine and I didn't have to regenerate a new cert. The apple devices however that I'm stuck dealing with are iOS 14 or lower and they don't seem to easily handle the updated LE cert. The local mail server cert is fine, it's LE that had the issues. It's not just Apple either, M$, google, Cisco, and lots more have suffered this. From what I've read, it's hit or miss with iOS 15.
