If you grind your teeth or notice that your teeth are wearing down, get a
mouth guard. It may save you from extra carnage in your mouth such as extra crap such as gum recesion and possible lost teeth.

I've been using a mouth guard every night for years now. My dentist noticed my teeth were showing signs of grinding and fitted me for one. I have to get a new one about every two years because I seem to chew through mine while I sleep. Highly recommended if you need one.

I have one, a Silent Nite. As the name implies, its main purpose is to
help with my horrible snoring. However, it also protects my teeth from
    each other.

The problem with these, in my mouth, is that I seem to wear out the hinges every 3 months or so. Every time I do so, I have to pay for another trip
to the dentist to get it fixed. They are parts I could replace myself
except I cannot find a reputable place to find the hinges online.

... Gone crazy, be back later, please leave message.
