I just did a google for "defaultcurhoplimit", and most of the  
found pages were 404 upon arrival.
Anyways..  on my XP pc this works:
netsh int ipv6 set glob defaultcurhoplimit=65
But not this:
netsh int ipv4 set glob defaultcurhoplimit=65
