Hello All!

Wow do I have a lot of messages to catch up on here... :)

I just wanted to first of all, thank Paul for posting a message in regards to my absence recently.

I also wanted to thank you all for the best wishes, as our family is (still) going through some tough times.

This is just going to be a brief update, to let you know what's been happening here. Right before Christmas, my wife ended up in the emergency room. Right before New Years, my wife's brother-in-law passed away from a short battle with cancer. Then, right after the new year, my wife was in the emergency room again.

She is scheduled for surgery on 8 Feb, to hopefully take care of both cancer in her uterus, along with a tumor on her kidney.

As you can probably tell, she is very concerned about this. Within the last 4 years, she has lost her brother and mother to cancer, and now her brother-in-law. She has also lost her father, but not to cancer. Our kids and I have been trying to keep her mind in a positive place, but it has been a challenge.

I'm trying to get my mind in a better place as well, and try to start getting some much needed things done here on Castle Rock. I have been in contact with a few of you via email, in reference to requests made during my absence. If you haven't heard from me, I apologize as I have missed your message.

I won't quote it, but wow I'm so sorry to hear that... My Fiance and I went though that a few years ago... It's rough, but you seem to be handling better than we did... Good luck and try to stay positive... it makes a difference... Take care.

I am sorry to hear how bad things are for you and your family, and your wife
in particular. I don't dare speak for everyone here, but I think it's safe to say that we understand why you've been absent. Life comes first, always.

I am a 3 time cancer survivor. I can sympathise with your situation, but I am positive proof that you CAN survive.

My prayers are with her and your family.
