Yeah. Try vitamins B + D, and really really try to think
"white". :/
So.. why do you enquire? Feeling pressure to buy the right
stuff in time for Christmas? Isolated from family?
The shorter daylight hours have always been a downer for me,
but now the longer hours are swinging back. :D

I don't have family anymore. I'm an orphan now and Christmas time always depresses me for some reason.

Everything is harder without friends and family. Including bouts of depression. I'm in the same boat when it comes to (in my case) winter blues.
A lot of others have provided good suggestions. What works for me is
just getting out of the house. I'll go visit friends whenever weather
and time permits. Or, I'll go for a walk, with just my music, if
nothing else.
It doesn't always break my funk, but it often helps.

Thinking "white" as in "cocaine"?
I think I will stay with the vitamines, thanks. :-)
Also, I recommend the Fat Man film to kill the Christmas
Mood. A kid hires a mercenary to kill Santa because [...]
Oh yeah, a film dedicated to those people who didn't get
the pony they wanted last Christmas!

Too big of a question - this is not a cure all, but are you
familiar with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?

Interesting where your mind was at for that one! ;) But I was
thinking real snow, the white stuff on the ground (or the
traditional picture of that), sub-zero H2O. However, it is sad

Stop celebrating it.

I was wondering what "white" was. Snow doesn't come to
mind this time of year for me! :D And I live in a place
where even in winter, one doesn't get snow. )

I don't care for the festivities and the family meetings, but I enjoy the presents and
having some extra time for my horses and myself.
Maybe the trick is picking what works for you and discarding the rest,

The complexities of international lurkers!
I knew where the original poster was stationed, so my reply
developed from that viewpoint.
BTW.. good to see you back. I'm on a trend in the opposite
direction; less writing, more lurking.

Also, I recommend the Fat Man film to kill the Christmas Mood. A kid hires a mercenary to kill Santa because he dislikes his present, but Santa is a bourbonholic sore old dude with so many guns, and his factory has military defenses enough to widthstand WWIII.
I like the idea of legalization as long as there is no rat poison or fentanyl in it.I think I will stay with the vitamines, thanks. :-)
