SITUATION
At 1800 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 50 nautical miles of
latitude twelve decimal four south (12.4S)
longitude ninety eight decimal one east (98.1E)
Recent movement : west at 11 knots
Maximum winds : 35 knots
Central pressure: 1002 hPa
The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 to 36 hours.
AREA AFFECTED
Within 70 nautical miles of the centre in the SW quadrant extending to the NW and NE quadrant by 1800 UTC 21 January
FORECAST
Maximum winds to 35 knots near the centre.
Winds above 34 knots within 60 nautical miles in SW quadrant, extending to 70 nautical miles by 0000 UTC 21 January
and within 70 nautical miles in NE quadrant by 1800 UTC 21 January
and within 70 nautical miles in NW quadrant by 1800 UTC 21 January with
rough to very rough seas and moderate.
