    SITUATION
    At 1800 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 30 nautical miles of
    latitude fourteen decimal three south (14.3S)
    longitude ninety six decimal one east (96.1E)
    Recent movement : southwest at 5 knots
    Maximum winds : 30 knots
    Central pressure: 1001 hPa
    The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 18 to 36 hours.

    AREA AFFECTED
    Within 80 nautical miles of the NW, SE and SW quadrants.

    FORECAST
    Maximum winds to 30 knots near the centre increasing to 35 knots by 1200 UTC 15 January.

    From 1200 UTC 15 January winds above 34 knots within 60 nautical miles of centre in the SW quadrant, extending to 80 nautical miles in the NW, SE and SW quadrants by 1800 UTC 15 January with rough seas and moderate swell.

    longitude ninety four decimal three east (94.3E)
    Recent movement : southwest at 8 knots
    Maximum winds : 35 knots
    Central pressure: 997 hPa
    The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 to 36 hours.

    AREA AFFECTED
    Within 60 nautical miles of the centre in the southwest quadrant.

    FORECAST
    Maximum winds to 35 knots.

    From 1800 UTC 16 January winds above 34 knots within 80 nautical miles of centre in the southern quadrants and within 60 nautical miles in northern quadrants with rough seas and moderate swell.
