I don't generally see any errors, I just send it to my hub and it usually makes it's way. One routed netmail I sent took 5 hours once, not sure where the holdup happened.

I tried it but my uplink returned the NetMail to me because the node
number is not listed in the nodelist...
I just checked and in *my* nodelist (nodelist.064), it is listed, but not
in nodelist.353 (that my uplink still uses according to the bounce mail).

    Anna

    Thanks for the info Anna.

Should I just wait for a while until the node list has had time to propagate; my node is only a few days old?

That might help, but at least my uplink seems to have stuck at a nodelist that is already some weeks old and I don't know why.
There have been updates to the nodelist since then...

Thanks Mike, I appear to have received it :)

I have sent a reply in order to verify my outgoing config, and would
appreciate a heads-up as to whether you've receive it or not.

If you want to play and test your netmail, you can send one to my BBS ping@3:633/509 - you'll get a reply back via netmail with info on the path it took to get to me.

What is the advantage of routed netmail anyway? Just crash it.

Who is your uplink? The RC24?

For me, it is the classic way of sending out FidoNet mails, that's what
all the infrastructure is here for.
And so I'm using it :)

Who is your uplink? The RC24?

    Yes, 2:240/5832

The classic way was in times were phone calls were metered or lines limited. If your node is pushing the netmail immediately to your uplink, why not send it directly to the recipients node? That's what the infrastructure (nodelist / IP) has been created for.

Who is your uplink? The RC24?

    Yes, 2:240/5832

Obviously this infrastructure is not working very well ;).
