President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees awarding the honorary title of "Hero City of Ukraine" to 16 cities: Pavlohrad, Nikopol, Marhanets, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Voznesensk, Bashtanka, Sumy, Trostianets, Kupiansk, and Starokostiantyniv.
