Well, I introduced my 16 year old daughter to LITRPG a couple of years back, trying to wean her off Harry Potter FanFic encouraging her to read things like [Wandering Inn], [Skyclad] and [Under the Dragon Eyed Moon] with strong female leads and good writing. Just a few days ago, she turned that on it's head and encouraged me to read this story on Royal Road.. taking the time to warn me it has quite a lot of swearing because the protaganist is nicknamed "JunkMouth" and, years you guessed it, swears like a trucker... going so far as to have had a desk calender with a "swearword of the day"...
This was an unusual enough situation for me to dive straight into the story.

I emerged from binge reading all 16 available chapters a few hours later. I had a number of thoughts and feelings.

My first thought was anger that the story posted so far ended on a massive cliff... and that I cannot wait for the next update.

My next was that this was brilliant writing and storytelling from someone who has taken what are slightly fuzzy and irritating tropes and made it into a story I would pay actual money to read.

I cannot reccomend this highly enough.. Jump right in and give it a go.
