    I am setting up an old Thinkpad x200 (8gigs of RAM, SSD, new 9-cell battery) as my cyberdeck. What Unix distro would you recommend? I am leaning towards Debian + i3m or Void Linux.

    there are no distros in Unix, only in Linux, which is unix-like clone as the closest unix term you can connect to it.

    still ok to have it on that machine unless you want more unix experience then one of the BSDs (FreeBSD is the easiest start) to consider.

    if you want to stay with distros.. try omarchy.
