    I'm seeing advertisements on instagram and other shit where it's a famous person with ai voice dubbed over it.

    we should all get juggallo tattos on our faces so nobody can steal our likenesses.

    About 5 or so years ago, I saw a video demonstrating that kind of thing. They showed how malicious people could use it to take a photo or video of a president and use the president's voice and manipulate the video to make it look and sound like he was saying anything they want him to say. It's scary stuff. Sooner or later, you might not be able to trust anything you see anymore.

    Yes.. the concern about deepfakes has been around for a few
    years now. But there is nothing really stopping this sort of
    thing to mislead and confuse the media and world leaders even
    now.

    What if someone deepfakes joe biden's voice, taps into the secure whitehouse line and calls up putin and says he's launching nukes. or someone can send the usa fake videos from terrorist organizations or govts we aren't friendly with.

    joe biden already is going to test new nukes in nevada. and apparently he invited russia and china observers.
